No. It's a passable action game as far as western-made action games go but doesn't hold a candle to previous DMC games in terms of complexity or satisfaction.
>Does it hold up with the predecessors?
it's on par with DMC2, which is considered to be the worst of the real DMC games
FUCK YOU
...
If you're just playing through it then it'll be fine aside from a shit ton of cringe. If you're really into your DMC games and actually learn the game in and out so you can beat it on higher difficulties and like experimenting with the system and getting better at doing advanced strings then it falls woefully short in comparison to 1, 3 and 4 (even though 4 has it's levels repeated halfway through the game).
It's really good.
It existing didn't cause a "real" DmC to not get made, that's always been a retarded way to think about it.
gameplay is nice
>gameplay is nice
gameplay is bad
It tries to be like DMC3 and 4, which is alright. I rather play DmC rather than DMC2, though some fanboys will disagree with me.
DmC did soundtrack and level design better then any of the others. People who complain about cringe fail to realize DMC is full of cringe as well it's just about how you like your cringe.
If he were named anything but Dante and was just another relative the hive mind would enjoy it but it's fun at the end of the day.
>it's on par with DMC2
Having actually played both of these games, no. DmC:DMC is way better than the tedious shitfest that is DMC2.
possibly the best game of 2013. it's amazing
>DmC did soundtrack and level design better
>wubstep
>better
nice meme
No.
>No good puzzles
>Bad one liners
>Easy as hell and boring bosses
>Easy as hell in general
>Too many segments where you have to go around a giant fissure that just suddenly appeared
It doesn't feel satisfying to play because it really is just too easy. However, that all being said, it's still better than DMC2
Nah we'd still hate it. As said above somewhere, a normal playthrough is fine but the people complaining about it all the time are the people who really, really get into it and actually learn the game, which takes skill. Once you start to dissect DmC like you would DMC3 it's flaws start to stick out so much that it ruins the entire thing.
>Noisa wubstep
Meme harder retard.
>Combichrist wubstep
Meme harder retard.

both wubstep "artists"
Soundtrack is just dubstep and electronica, so if you enjoy that it'll be your jam. Level design is pretty much the same though. You have corridors you go through, sometimes gates appear that trap you in an arena and you duke it out until the enemies are all gone, continue, do some light platforming, etc. Did you mean aesthetically? Because that's really all it does that's different and even then, it's not consistently good. You still get your fair share of sewers, industrial zones, subways and office environments that are boring as fuck.
And there's the problem, the no true scotsman.
Your lack of musical knowledge is showing, please neck yourself.
says the guy defending wubstep "artists"
Its not a bad game by any means, but in terms of combat it just doesnt stack up to how well something like DMC4 plays.
>vergin blanco
ESTO ES EL FIN
Well it's not "ur not real dmc fan", it's just if you get autistically into it (which to be fair isn't many people) then it won't be as good as the older ones. Regular playthrough is fine.
7.5/10 game, I enjoyed it
