What was your first memorable gaming experience as a kid?
This and Ape Escape.
>Damn, those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride
Fuck, I played that game so much as a kid, and had to have my dad come in to beat that level with the fucking RC car. Bringing back memories

All of these games aged like shit, people playing them for the first time today know they're shit. Sup Forums needs to realize that nostalgia is why they think these games are any good. Sup Forums is just too anti-SJW and blinded by nostalgia to appreciate newer titles like Mass Effect Andromeda and Horizion Zero Dawn
>inb4 BAIT MUH LE FISH MEME
Only adds weight to the legitimacy of the purpose of the thread. Don't even pretend that Sup Forums is not all a bunch of bandwagoning anti-SJW no lifes following the hivemind

Bad pasta
Probably still one of my favorite SM games. Even with all it's flaws.
> PS games as first vidya memories
Something something damn kids. But Ape Escape was the game that solidified the dualshock controller as a thing for me so it has a special place in my heart. Great soundtrack didn't hurt either.
This was my first memorable gaming experience as a kid because I had very conservative parents, and seeing the "T for Teen" logo when I was about 10 usually meant I could never buy the game. Sled Storm was the fist time I could convince them that I was "mature" enough to handle a racing game
Loved it back then. Played it recently, and it has aged like milk

A bugs life for gameboy color
It was really shit
Yeah the controls are still left to be desired a bit, but still playable. But I'll admit its a bit of a nostalgia blinder for me.
Why is Monster Girl Quest in there?
Either this or Star Wars Pod Racer.
miniclip shit flashware, then of course....Runescape.
One day laddies, I'll buy the license off of Jagex, give it WoW graphics and WASD controls, and the give it back to you, the people.
I don't know if it's my first per se, but:
>House of the dead
>Earthworm Jim
>Jazz Jackrabbit
>Motherfucking Claw
>Runescape
>That flash game RPG where you played as one of those lizard things from WoW. You know, the things that drop scales...marlocks or something.
>That Aladdin 3d game with the few cool flying magic carpet levels.
>Virtua Fighter
Memorable was Sonic 1 and 2, but the one that shaped my tastes the most was pic.
I was crushed to learn many years later that the series had pretty much become unrecognizable.
Also, Warpath. You were this ship thing that flies around and trades and blows things up. I loved buying the biological nukes and just glassing planets.
Clanker's Cavern in Banjo Kazooie was probably the first time I saw a video game.
also, tales of pirates, conquer online, and Eudemon online.
Spending well over a year trying to beat this game, and finally doing so. To this day one of the best OST's I've ever heard.
DuckTails NES
Fucking shitter man, i just replayed Chaos Theory and its still one of the best games ever made. Your post is irrelevant
Rush n' Attack cabinet at the local K-Mart in 1988 fiddling with the controls during the demo.
Game is fun as fuck but RC stages can be a bummer, but it is a terrible idea to give start+select stage skip all the way to the end for childrens. I loved the Doom part.
playing cabbage patch kids on the Coleco Vision

grandpa
this game and earthbound seemed fucking impossible to me as a kid. i managed to beat all three DKC games but i could never even beat Frank and im not sure I even got to chapter 2 in SF.
I am old but actually the Coleco VIsion was already old when I was a kid so not as old as you might think. My dad bought it before I was born.
Oh god it’s all coming back, this game had the level set in the backyard didn’t it? I think I remember climbing a tree or a tree house.
I loved the one for the n64, it left an impression on me.
Tonka, Freddi Fish, Backyard Baseball/Football, and Pajama Sam
...
All you have to do is kill enemies before they can react on that map, most of them move to set positions. It's not stated but you only need to beat the boss (the Rune Knight) to clear the map.
