I'm currently having a lot of free time, so I'm working on my backlog. Right now, I'm playing through Persona 5, and it really lived up to my hype. I don't know why I waited so much to play it, really.

This is literally the worst taste I've ever seen on Sup Forums. I usually give WAY higher ratings in these threads.

Obscure doesn't refer to the games that YOU don't know, it's about being less well known. I've never seen one thread on Sup Forums, or one post, or one 3x3 mentioning any of those games. You probably haven't either, you should reconsider your definition of the word.

If you think any of those 5 in greentext are even slightly obscure then you're just proving the point. You're like the Cena fans on /asp/ who insist that Sting is a nobody who no one's ever heard of just because YOU haven't.

Only 2 of those games (The Last Eichhof and 2Spicy) are really outright actually obscure. Even Rail Chase 2 is a fucking sequel, so the original was clearly semi-successful making it not-that-obscure by association.

Last of Us is a meme, Planet Robobot is a mediocre slog (and Kirby has been bad since the Wii)
7/8 Yoshi's Island ain't my cup of tea, not speaking objectively I can see the appeal but it got a bit samey for me.
7/8 Overall great taste but I can't recommend Gravity Rush, simply too bare bones and lacking in substance.
7/8 Pokemon sucks. Good taste but pretty Sup Forumscore. I consider putting two MGS games in a bit lazy.
9/9 My kind of guy, a good variety of genres and eras represented. I think Yakuza 0 is a tad overrated but I still greatly enjoyed it.

Has anyone rated you? As far as I see, only three people, and two of them are 0/0s. I'd give you one too, and the rest is ignoring it except for one other rating. You are saying they aren't obscure because me don't knowing them doesn't mean they are, but you aren't showing any semblance of evidence that a lot of people have actually played those, or even know them enough not to be labeled obscure.

I've been here for a while but didn't bother to look into 3x3 threads until recently. How does the rating system work? Since people are using random different numbers for the same image.

I hate retards who spout this objective bullshit. As if someone can't have their fucking preferences. Someone might have grown up with the PS1 release, prefers the bright colors over brown-ass hallways, or even enjoys the cheesy-ass dialogue. They're both classics.

RE1 has a slightly better score in the original version, not the DC Dualshock rerelease, in addition to having a better Guardhouse area and a few better puzzles. Also, RE1 has different content split across multiple versions which I was counting when I made the 3x3 thing, such as the Saturn Battle Game, Rebirth Mode and Arrange Mode, all of which I enjoy more than Invisible Enemy and One Zombie in REmake.
Some franchises turn out a lot of good games. People might take issue with CV, it being a bit of a black sheep, but I feel like it and 0 get too much criticism heaped onto them. At their core, they're pretty good survival horror games. Better than the shit that came after, I can tell you that.

Doesn't matter. The only games that came close were either too casual/obvious (Yakuza 2) or they'd look like joke picks (Cat in the Hat on PS2)

Great games, nothing surprising whatsoever though. You seem set in your ways with what looks like extremely limited taste. It looks sad if that's all you have dude, no variety here whatsoever. Doesn't look like you broke past the entry level yet. Even nintendies have more variety. Stick with the Cat in the Hat and work from there.

do it fgt. Just don't go in expecting CRAZY levels of DMC3/Bayo. What makes the first entry truly special is the atmosphere, since the survival horror roots still shine through. Still a great action game to this day though and has it's moments of relative difficultly. Expect to bitch about the camera angles though. Have replayed it multiple times almost every year since it released.
