You literally summon satan to put a bullet between god's eyes and save christmas

>You literally summon satan to put a bullet between god's eyes and save christmas

I know jrpgs and SMT in particular have a thing for killing god but geez, I don't think I've ever played one where it was this heavy handed

>god

>demiurge
>god

try again

>satan

>god
>satan

>that
>heavy-handed

oh, I'm sorry guys. I meant

>sataneal
and
>all of man's faith and and believe personified

sorry sorry my bad

have you never played SMT1, 2 or 4A?
P5 was stale as fuck compared to those when it comes to killing God

>have you never played SMT1, 2 or 4A?

I have not actually. the only SMT games I've player are persona 1, strange journey and now persona 5

1 only has you killed the 4 archangels. Megami Tensei II is the first game where you kill God though

>sorry sorry my bad
You should be sorry for your ignorance.
These characters are obviously based on Gnosticism, not Christianity.

Gnosticism is Satanism for "intelligent" people.

Also the Demiurge is Satanael anyways

>In Bogomilism, a Gnostic dualistic sect that flourished in Europe in the 10th through 15th centuries, Satanael is the older of two sons of God; the other is Christ. Satanael existed before Christ and was created good along with all the other ANGELs. He was held in the highest esteem and sat at the right hand of God as his steward. Soon, however, he grew dissatisfied with his station and rebelled. He persuaded other angels to join him, promising them freedom from boring liturgical duties. God reacted by casting them all out of heaven. Satanael wandered in the void and then decided to make a new world for himself—a second heaven over which he could become like a second God. The universe became this second heaven.

>Satanael created the physical world, with all of its misery and suffering. He inspired the Old Testament. He created Adam out of earth and water. But Adam was defective, and he had life trickling out of his right foot and forefinger in the shape of a SERPENT. Satanael breathed spirit into Adam, but it trickled out and became the serpent. Satanael appealed to God for help, promising that God would be able to help govern humankind. God agreed because he wanted to replenish the ranks of angels depleted by the Fall.

Don't be sorry, these evil japs have convinced the weebs to worship Demons and proclaim Satan as God

Even if you weren't hilariously wrong in the way those anons pointed out, his title is still Yaldaboath, God of Control. Implying other gods also exist, making him inherently not the Christian god in any way

Demons have done more for me then any god would.

>implying it's satan
>implying it's god

Why didn't God just make more angels?

And in other Gnostic sects the "god" that Satanel rebelled against is the one who created this false universe, locking people away from the divine realm beyond. Which is clearly the inspiration for P5.

Are the phantom thieves REAL?

P5 is the only one I've played. How does it compare to the other ones? I really enjoyed it. The palace bosses were some of the best fights I've seen in jrpgs (mostly), I dug the aesthetic, and I really liked a number of the social links (Sojiro, Futaba, Iwai, Takemi and Yoshida being my favorite). I dug how most of the supporting cast were older

It's fairly different from the previous entries, hence the strong reaction and comments like "reinvents the persona franchise".

Thank you. Folks are confusing Gnostic God and Satan with the real deal (seen in SMT).

I've dabbled with P3 and beat P4 just before playing P5. Honestly, the fifth game improves on the Persona formula in so many ways, I think it would be really difficult for me to go back. It's the first game in which dungeon crawling isn't a total fucking slog. Though I do think 4's social links and general banter were a bit more charming.

Yaldabaoth is literally "the false god"
You like to live in lies, OP?

>god
>satan

OP's entire life is a lie.

>Gnosticism portrays Demiurge as an inferior "evil" god who created the world who appears as the "God" of the Old Testament
>"God" of the Old Testament

In the second Book of Enoch, Satanael is mentioned as a leader of the fallen angels that rebelled against YHVH
>Satanael is mentioned as a leader of the fallen angels

I don't know guys sounds like god and satan to me

>Nanashi literally beat and become the universe creator
>Personafags still busy killing a fake god

>like
that's pretty much the point, he's supposed to be like God, but inferior to him

so when the actual fuck are we getting a pc release

You fucked up by startinhg with P5 first. Now P3 and P4 will feel like shit compared to what you just played.

YHVH isn't the real deal.

This desu. Persona is the #1 example I can think of when recommending to play earlier games before newer ones due to QoL features made later.

>Persona babies actually believe this

Sad!

That's precisely what they want you to think.

He beat a weak yhvh who got assfucked by the great will because of disobedience and nanashi also had helped from some dudes reincarnation Satan who is near him in terms of power another god and other bullshit
And the sun/light god creates the universes in smt

Cute bit of wiki checking to get answers, but you are still off. Next time start with Ialdabaoth. You may get the answer you were looking for.

You're forgetting that Yaldy's nothing but a distorted cup, and not actually the Demiurge from the good book.
Old Testament doesn't apply here.

Why the fuck are the christmas outifts STILL not out for europe?

>you summon the greatest trickster in mythology to steal free will for humanity from the god of the old testament.

it made sense thematically,

>Implying YHWH isn't a false god that needs to be destroyed

And the Phantom Thieves are supposed to be the good guys.

What a load of horseshit
