I liked Max, the characters were believable because your typical videogame-quality writing did not clash with teenage characters.
The music and atmosphere were also alright, overall I enjoyed it despite hating Last of Us, Walking Dead, Heavy Rain, etc.

Not very good. It's pretty poor as an adventure game and none of the main characters are people you want to support. The game does such a great job of making Chloe completely unlikeable that the final choice of saving her or the town is no choice at all

Pretty much this, an overwhelming majority of people love this game but because Sup Forums is comprised of those kids who never fit in with anyone, they're conditioned to hate it. Game is set in high school so that probably brings back some repressed memories and links back to them wanting to feel special for having a different viewpoint then anyone else, even if they're wrong.

I enjoyed getting the good ending.

Never played it because it's not something that interested me, but Ross from Ross's Game Dungeon did and he absolutely hated it. So judging from his reaction I'd say I would have a mild dislike for the game.

Great story, fun characters, disappointing ending, but the fanfiction community made up for it. Before the Storm is both better and worse in different ways. All in all I'm glad they exist if only to show the world Telltale is putting out lazy garbage. Life is Strange blows even Walking Dead out of the water with how dense it's environments are.

Agreed with one exception. Effeminate men happen to love this game. They're emotional, but they're not necessarily emotional wrecks. There's nothing inherently wrong with them being effeminate and emotional, but men like this tend to get on the average guy's nerves after a while. That's why its fanbase is insufferable to most. This is the girliest game I've ever played, and I would be concerned if I had a son that enjoyed it.
