I just woke up from a dream where I was at a house party with a bunch of famous japanese game devs. At one point Miyamoto asked when something was going to happen, and since nobody else said anything, I said "good question" as a way of affirming his inquiry. He turned and hit me sharply on the arm, said that I should be quiet and not talk to him since I was a nobody and had nothing to say. I was so shocked I just said stammered "sorry," but afterwards I was angry and wished I had stood up for myself. The dream continued but I woke up before I got to do anything about it.

The last few days I've been sleeping a lot and I keep having dreams like this. It really sucks.

Mario guy, maybe Megaman but it just wasn't as memorable, fun nonetheless and a fantastic sountrack, Dragon Warrior was incredibly bland. It was literally all about grinding for gear and then you win. Why? I understand the importance in setting the bar for that kind of game but the stats being a black and white indicator of winning or losing is not good game design. Absolutely loved the dialogue, soundtrack, and mob design tho. I don't know what that red guy is. I like that guy's mustache tho. Mario bro doesn't even look like a real human. Why does he look so fucking crazy?

Yeah, most of it's in Japanese, but surprisingly he knows English. Wish more devs tried to learn English. It's so absurd seeing a dev that makes frequent trips to America have to rely upon a translator.
