Ds2 was good but compared to all the other games it was absolutely unbearable

DS2's content in any other engine, even fucking Demon Souls, would make for a game that is ten times better than the original.

DS2 did have so much content I never got to enjoy all of it simply because the mechanics, level designs, and enemy placement ruined it for me to want to experience all of it.

I have sotfs and have never played the dlc areas. I mean I found them, but I need a key? I was never able to find a way through the doors. Is it before or after drangleic castle? I know I'm like 3 years late.

I have the DLC and never played it as well but it's all on the original DS2, not SotFS.

The key for Ivory King is easiest, you can get it jut by looking around the usual path through castle drangelic, right after the room with the Ruin Sentinels iirc
The key for the Iron King is where all the salamanders are in Forest of Fallen Giants, you need to either fall down into that area or find a key near the entrance to the iron keep where you encounter the first bowman
The key for sunken king is a pain, but basically you need to drop down onto some platforms in the Black Gulch near one of the worm enemies, kill some giants down there to grab a key, then use that to open a door in the majula pit that you can access easily by paying the laddersmith for his most expensive ladder

also I'm fucking retarded and made getting the iron king key sound confusing. There's a door on the way to The Last Giant boss fight that can only be opened by the key I mentioned that's in the iron keep. That door leads to the salamander area that you still need to look through to get the actual key to the iron king dlc
