Out of all the 2017 releases I've played thus far I've played 3 sub-par games. And there's well over a dozen more games I intend to play

I'm actually playing it on WiiU this year but I decided to put it on the list because of the multiplat ports this year and the game deserves the mention, it's my favorite modern lego game by a lot

The biggest problem with LCU's WiiU release is that
1. It released for 60 dollars which it's objectively not worth
2. It had such a limited physical run that the price only went up from there
3. It's digital price went unaltered until Nintendo made it a select for 20 at the end of the WiiU's life
You literally had to fight tooth and nail to find a copy while it was WiiU exclusive for all but the last year and a half or so before the port. That's a big reason that it goes totally unrecognized.

Sounds to me like you only play indies that are constantly posted here and nothing else. Cuphead isn't even the best run 'n' gun this year, Bleed 2 is. Rain World while way more rough around the corners than Hollow Knight is also way more interesting and memorable imo.
