Eh. The different playable characters don't have interesting stuff to make them feel that unique from eachother, and the start pistols are usually pretty bad.
Like yeah it's a starting weapon it's not supposed to be great but given how ammo and weapons work in that game being dicked by RNG and getting stuck with your starting pistol sucks.

Shoulda let you fire as fast as you can click with all of the pistols, I think one only character's starting pistol does that.

damage cap on bosses is bullshit and most items are underwhelming. Also a lot of guns are basically the same thing or downright useless.
I'm hoping they fix a lot of things in the next update.

Pretty fun game
People who cry just suck if youre competend you can beat any run easily

Game is fun and challeging but using your starter gun for 20 minutes in every run makes it boring.
The enemy hp scaling + the limitations on the damage dealt also removes the ZANY factor that creates really entertaining moments in other roguelites

Nuclear throne is better

too many binding of isaac causal soyboys in this thread who find gungeon too difficult for their tiny minds to grasp. im sorry you can't 1 shot bosses in this game and that you require actual skills to beat the game.

The Pilot's pistol is why I never beat this game with all the 4 main characters, it's fucking bullshit.

bullet is the only character you need and once you get him you dont need any other characters or weapons, just power ups

bullet is ezmode.

Gungeon was great, it just needs a huge expansion that adds a bunch of shit ala the binding of Issac ones. I wish the passives were a bit more drastic and the characters were more mechanically unique too.

Reverse for me. Nuclear throne is mostly hide then peek and shoot while you can do that or evade in gungeon.

i rarely see people hide and peak in nuclear throne
most people generally dodge and go fast in that game

Does The Binding of Isaac do enemies and items better than Nuclear Throne or Enter the Gungeon?

If so, what makes it better? I wanna play NT after playing BoI but idunno

BoI is easier than Gungeon by far simply because item synergies get much more broken much faster.

NT and BOI dont have that much in common actually outside of proceedually generated levels they are top down shooters
gungeon is a lot closer to a slower NT but with shittier enemy scaling

TBoI is fun if you like having the ability to make a win out of any run through a bunch of mechanics and making the most out of it through shit like gambling, item poll rigging, etc. Or if you want fun synergies that kill shit fast and/or look cool, something that gungeon in my opinion doesn't really have except in really particular cases.
Gameplay wise tho EtG and NT are much better

I'll download NT then, been playing Boi for a few months trying to 100% it.

If you are gonna play Isaac, at least play Rebirth, because the original is pretty much unplayable
Avoid AB and especially AB+ like the plague unless you really want more content or add mods, otherwise look up antibirth which is a much better and free expansion to rebirth

This game has no fucking synergies. Steakmund deliberately ruined what made these kind of games fun in BoI, also Gungeons shitty gun humor and awful pixelshit graphics are two more turn offs.

It has no synergies because it has two opposed mindsets

>randomized runs with random and unique items/drops/enemies
>carefully balanced encounters so that you can't just stomp a boss with an item

Which ultimately results in there only really being a handful of different weapon and item types. All that matters is whether a weapon is:

>single shot
>beam
>auto
>explosive

Once you get a powerful single shot with lots of ammo (like the megaman gun) you basically just use that on every single regular room and then just mindlessly spam all the auto/beam weapons at the bosses. The whole thing just has this dull, overly homogenised feel that clashes with its pathetic attempt at run variety.

I have 100%'d the whole damn game and no-damaged every single boss (even the lich, although that was mostly due to having a bunch of explosive weapons + the greybandana and just outright deleting all his bullets)

Nuclear Throne kind of ruined the game for me. Enter the Gungeon feels like wading through pudding in comparison, and the actual gunplay doesn't feel nearly as impactful and satisfying as even something as basic as the machine gun in NT

I just wish NT wasn't so fucking buggy, and I hate the new requirement for looping they added

The best way to illustrate why NT is better than EtG is how they handle health.

My biggest problem with Gungeon is the retarded gimmick weapons. I don't care if removing them all leaves the game with 15 actual guns, I can't fucking stand using them

I use that term to prevent faggots from screaming at me for their ultra-specific definition of a roguelike and for no other reason.

What annoys the crap out of me is him adding so many useless fucking active items to the item pool while ALSO giving every character an amazing starting item you'd almost never want to switch out for any of them. Soon. They're adding a new floor after Corpse called The Forest, also the Horsemen bosses. But keep in mind it took four fucking people and 3 years to make Antibirth.

Its shit as a roguelite that is already a shit genre.

It sucks. The guns are way too goddamn inaccurate which makes aiming 10% skill and 90% RNG, which is just fucking tedious. And speaking of tedious, so is the damage cap on bosses.

I beat the Lich with multiple guys, the game's ok but Nuclear Throne and BoI both do it better and I'm not compelled to 100% it.

I hate this game for it's pixelshit graphics and obnoxious as fuck Randy Pitchford tier gun "humor".

The Forest is a myth/joke perpetuated by the Community Remix dev during a reddit post where he leaked basically all the planned concepts and whatnot.

Well where the fuck is Conquest suppose to go then? Each horseman is assigned to one of the new floors.

What? That sucks, I was hoping for an additonal floor. Judging from Golden Conquest I thought they'd make some kind of heavenly/ earthly floor with the final boss either being a renamed God or Isaac's manifestation of his dad.

That might be the case, who even knows anymore. The first release of Antibirth was just an early access release, we can only assume what the future holds.
