Route B is the events of Route A with 9S' perspective. Route C takes place after.

Route B is the same thing, but you play through as 9s and get more/different context on the events. Route C is completely and totally new content and where the main meat of the games narrative plays out.

You play as both A2 and 9S. I'm not spoiling any more about the actual content of the route. Just go play it. Yes, it's a bit of a slog to have to go through the same route for a second time with only about 30% of it actually changed, but route C makes it worth it. It also carries over your quest progress from route A, so you only need to do the quests you either didn't finish or the new quests if you've been keeping up with them (and you should, because the reward is good if you've played or know the story of the original Nier).

Enjoy the ride when you get at route C.
