I'm officially done and sick of western open world RPGs. I'm craving for more streamlined, story driven, linear western RPG. Do you guys have any suggestions?
To clarify more, I'm looking for something similar to:
Mass Effect Series,
Gothic 1 and 2,
Witcher 1 and 2,
Dragon Age: Origins
The number of open world RPGs is too damn high!

reconsider
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
>I'm officially done and sick of western open world RPGs
why did it become so popular? it seems like every video games annoying fans always clamor for open world but when it happens its awful but they love it.
was it because of GTA?
Dragon's Dogma, it's not western
Pillars of Eternity if you can stay awake.
Divinity Original Sin games
Shut up and play Dark Souls/Morrowind again.
Witcher 3
Have you already played the classics? If not there are a shitload of terrific old isometric RPGs that would fit the bill.
Freedom scares me and need a strong hand to guide me to the appointed fun zones.
Among newer games you can go for:
Deus Ex Human Revolution, Mankind Divided
Shadowrun Dragonfall and Hong Kong
Divinity 2, Divinity OS, Divinity OS2
King's Bounty Legend and Crossworlds (RPGs with TBS combat)
Heard good things about Underrail too
I just started playing Wizardry 8. You should play that.
Age of Decadence
Underrail
Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Hong Kong
Divinity: Original Sin
>oh man I sure am glad I have this massive empty field to run around in with isolated fun zones
>truly this is freedom
Just take the immersive sims pill bro, that's the true western way. Open worlds are for sonnigers and weebs.
I can go any where I want?
I am scared daddy.
>"Hey you see that field over there with the terribly textured grass? You can explore that! There's nothing there so go run around like a tard for a few hours!"
Having large spaces of nothing is not good game design.
the absolute state of the open world soyboy
True.
NV could have used your insight.
>"Hey you see that field over there with the terribly textured grass? You can't explore that! You're stopped by a magical invisible wall, so immersive.
>now on to the lovingly hand crafted content
Yes gamers need structure and an iron hand.
A clearly delineated path to appropriate decision points that will determine the proper ending cutscenes.
No variation no deviation.
Do you really want that much hand holding?
WTF are u talking about i been waiting for a GOOD open world RPG for PC for the last few GOOD
user is given a world to explore.
user decides to run around like a tard.
That really isn't the devs fault now is it?
Pillars of Eternity if you can stay awake.
Divinity Original Sin game
> why dont these fuckers spend a little money and pay some fucking voice actors
You can have variation and deviation in the gameplay that isn't copy-pasted content-less fields. There's also a middle ground between corridor shooter and 50km^2 island.
