>he made a thread over $17
fucking loser
Sup Forums says its good but i dont see how literally 1 type of black blob enemy in the entire came can be interesting.
bump
There are many enemy types. All with different weaknesses and abilities.
>Sup Forums being one person
fuck off you dumb cunt
do you like bioshock? You'll like it.
do you like system shock in general? You'll probably like it.
this
could easily be bioshock 3 or, like, psyshock1 like system shock became bioshock
if you like bioshock aesthetic, dishonored gameplay, and a little deus ex sprinkled on top you'll like it. this game was advertised with such ineptitude people at zenimax should be fired to flushing the game down the toilet the way they did.
*points gun at your head*
"Play it, motherfucker."
I honestly enjoyed the exploration and reading/listening to journal entries to learn more about the setting than the combat, desu. The combat's pretty trivial unless you nerf yourself by not using powers/ just not taking any upgrades.
As others have said, if you like Bioshock, you'll probably like Prey. It also has a pretty good soundtrack by Mick Gordon, the guy who did the new Doom, though Prey's soundtrack couldn't be more different from Doom's
Exploring is fun and rewarding
Fucking around with the Gloo gun is entertaining and the amount of times you can use it to get to places is astounding
The alien powers are neat
The enemy design is cool looking, but there isn’t exactly a huge variety of them
In fact, combat itself is a bit clunky
I'm not your salesman. Find out if it's good on your own. We live in a world where torrenting is easier than ever
This
Also only play it on PC, runs really badly on console and with how fast the enemies move, it is basically unplayable.
Runs fine on xbawks unless 30fps triggers you. PS4 is a bit fucked for an entirely different reason since launch
I played it on Xbox One and it ran fine with me. Was able to beat the game on the Nightmare with no Typhon abilities
You're on an enormous space station.
You can actually leave it and fly around the whole thing in a space suit and explore every nook and cranny...
*Nightmare, not the Nightmare.
im really liking this but mainly because i haven't picked up the typhon powers yet and just using the human enhancement stuff. i have revealed a bunch of the typhon powers with the scope but they seem pretty op so i'll save that for another run. i like setting traps and playing hide and seek with the aliums. its amazing how incredibly useful the gloo gun and the nerf dart gun is.
I agree that the game is a much better experience without Typhon powers, they simply make you untouchable and create a run that becomes too easy too fast. Without the powers you're consistently thinking on your toes and coming up with innovative ways to escape/kill the Typhon, as you mentioned with the Gloo gun and Nerf crossbow
>You can actually leave it and fly around the whole thing in a space suit and explore every nook and cranny...
is there any points of no return in this game? i love the exploration but im always scared of advancing the plot too much because there's always some event where doors get locked or something explodes and you get locked out of something.
The FOV triggers me even more but yeah 30fps is shitty in a first person shooter with fast enemies.
Okay, and people beat Max Payne 3 on New York Minute Hardcore on console despite it being an absolutely terrible way to play the game.
Because that one enemy is a shape shifter.
There's one, but it's fairly well telegraphed, and you can always just load an earlier autosave
I loved the original Prey but I honestly think I love this one even more. $20 well fucking spent, can't wait to play more in a bit.
can i assume its near the end of the game? and can you still go back later and explore more before beating the game? i have a bunch of side quests for places like crew quarters and arboretum i want to do and also i want to try find as many "surviving" crew members as possible before finishing it.
Allows for exploration and scavenging.
They all act differently, but it's a fucken shame that they just made them all look the same. I know they're supposed to be humanoid, but then you get shit like Nightmare. All they had to do was make them look and move around differently.
Combat isn't really the focus of the game, it just appears that way because normalfags don't buy games unless it has violence and it's framed to be violent in the promotional stuff. It's more about exploration and immersing yourself in the world
Its fantastic. Blows anything bioshock out of the water, if you ask me.
dont
Man this really could have been a good game.
Theres a few flaws that keep it from being worth a full play through.
It does not compare to bioshock or system shock
But Bioshock wasn't even that good. The music was great, and the setting superb, but everything else falls flat.
yeah the music was my favorite part too
what really halted my playthrough was the redundant enemies that werent at all interesting to begin with
shadowy blobs
i cant name games that have done this before but i know this has been done before and its never fun or exciting to fight against them
the only other variant the game offers is the robot things
it feels very lazy
>one type
Do your homework retard.
