Sure, lots of things. Basic math reinforced heavily as a kid playing RPGs and so on (obviously not so relevant once you're not in elementary school but the practice is legit). Same with reading comprehension, crappy translations aside, it may not be as good as reading books but reading dialog was still good practice.

Civ games in particular (played a ton of civ2 growing up) taught me a ton of world history back in the day also.

There's a good chance I'm a math major now because of stupid shit like golf flash games and Toontown that I played when I was 7. Just minmaxed the shit out of everything. I wasnt really interested in math too incredibly until 4th grade so it definitely could have come from video games.

It's not simultaneous learning, it's that some principles also apply for other things.

In videogames usually some principles are meant to mimic real life ones(easy example: driving simulators) and effectively allow you to easily learn skills based/similar to them.

In a videogame example, most RPGs have elements for instance, so playing one will give you a general idea of how to use elements at your advantage in other games.

Strategical thinking is real as well, some games teach you to distribute things/minmax to reach optimal results.

That whatever you say is right as long as you get a reaction out of it
