How'd he get to the castle once he was in Dire Dire Docks?

obviously he exited the level to get to the lobby

Exit course.

I cannot believe I missed this

I want to enter in peach's front door so badly.

...

>Peach's backdoor half the size of Peach's front door

Nice.

it was remodeled, there are brown bricks around the doorway

Feces exists in the mushroom kingdom

>we are going to remodel your back door

>Bowser was too big to fit through Peach's back door

>The yellow gas is peach's farts

That's a spin-off, it doesn't count.

I know this is just a meme thread, but here goes:
>According to a recently released artbook, Magolor from Kirby Returns To Dream Land had a much different design. Whilst this design wasn't used for him, it was reused as the basis for Max Proffitt Haltmann's design from Kirby Planet Robobot

>Concept Art shows that Star Dream, the final boss of Planet Robobot, was originally going to look like a robotic version of Zero Two from Kirby 64. It is unclear if it was still supposed to be a clockwork star at this stage.

>the russians hacked bowser's submarine to go into the castle

How did I save the thumbnail?

penguins exist outside the space-time continuum

>Brown bricks
Hmmmm... I wonder who could be behind this post.

Here's Bowz' Skylanders Outfit concepts

>Bowser's too big to fit through Peach's front door and her back door

Dammit, Bowser in a bomber jacket would've been pretty cool

And here's DK.
Diddy was apparently planned to be part of DK's moveset but was dropped to keep the focus on DK (as well as the possibility of Diddy spinning off into his own figure. This is why Diddy is in the sidecar of DK's vehicle.

All of them are pretty great actually. A kind user managed to draw Bowz Jr. in the fourth outfit for me once.

>The 7 Koopalings were always Bowser's kids in Japan during the NES/SNES era, but they didn't have names until the end credits of Super Mario World (Their castles were named after the world in question and the cutscenes after were generic). In Japan, they have the same names, just with the "Koopa" last name dropped (for obvious reasons)

>Counting their intended appearance in Super Princess Peach and the E-Reader levels in SMA4, The Gamecube and the N64 are the only systems (that people care about) that the Koopalings were seemingly not planned to appear (and even then, Iggy cameos in the opening sequence of Super Mario Sunshine via SMW footage).

>Metal Sonic got a self-titled theme on the album "Virtual Sonic"
youtu.be/U5T87uLzt-I

>The American Sonic CD soundtrack got an album release called "Sonic The Hedgehog Boom" which included extended versions of several of the tracks such as "Quartz Quadrant", "Wacky Workout" (WW Present), Stardust Speedway's time zones and both renditions of Sonic Boom. It also remixed 4 songs from Sonic Spinball, some of which were recycled for Virtual Sonic

>There were pitches by Archie for a Nintendo comic. Specifically, there were pitches for Mario, Kirby, Metroid and, I believe Star Fox comics. None of the pitches were picked up.

>Speaking of, Star Fox did have a comic adaptation back in the day which ran in Nintendo Power (much like Super Mario Adventures and A Link To The Past) that was based on the recent-at-the-time SNES game and expanded upon. The comic author did have a hand in writing a special strategy guide for the game and one of the characters (Fara Phoenix) was considered for Star Fox 2 in early prototypes of the game. However, Star Fox 64 rebooted the continuity.

>Metroid had a special manga released to go with Zero Mission, which told of Samus' origins and general life. The manga was considered canon, but has been displaced by Other M (which incorporates certain elements of the manga).

Mario unironically has the deepest lore

what is horsehair and why was miyamoto so obsessed with it?

>(maybe)
What did they mean by this?

BRAAAAAAAP

>Final Fantasy is named as such due to it being, what was planned to be, Square's last game. The game's popularity saved Square from closing down, however, and became the RPG series we know today.

>Final Fantasy III was planned to receive a Wonderswan remake like 1, but never did. In fact, III was never re-released up until the DS remake (rumor is that Square lost the source code at one point)

>Final Fantasy III's remake was created by the same team that would go on to 4 Heroes of Light and the Bravely series. Not-so-coincidentally, each of those involve the job system FFV remake never ever

>The remake of Final Fantasy III has tons of unused dialogue in the DS version at least suggesting there was more of a focus on plot initially before it got toned down (presumably to stay close to the original). In particular, the remake's Light Warriors show characteristics that are only hinted at in the final game (or, in Refia's case, one of her quotes in Brave Exivus) and there are even signs that the Evoker and the Bard jobs were originally moved from their places in the final (and original) game (the Evoker to help with the Hein boss fight, the Bard was optional (presumably self-awareness of how useful the class was now)).

The last on the right is a dope DK statue

the old man's name was Satoru Iwata by any chance?

>Final Fantasy is named as such due to it being, what was planned to be, Square's last game

Fake news, FF1 wasn't even their bestseller

>Toadstool's just a normal Toad with girl-like features

That would've made a lot more sense than having a humanoid blond as the ruling princess to be honest. Of course the downside is she would be considered less fuckable, and god only knows what would come out of Mario and her having sweet comfy sex.

>Archie rejecting Nintendo's comic pitches
>cancelling Megaman and Sonic
>and focusing on a goddamn Archie live action series

Granted I haven't seen the series yet, but still, that's fucked up, could've been a nice way to counter IDW's share.

>Serges, one of the X-Hunters from Mega Man X2, is implied in the Japanese version to be Dr. Wily in some form; He's the one responsible for repairing Zero, He seemingly calls X "Rock" when the X-Hunters call to issue their challenge, and he laments being beaten by "a memento of Light" (or something to that effect) when beaten in his boss fight in the Castle stages. When asked about it, Inafune kept the answer open-ended

>Likewise, Isoc from Mega Man X6 is theorized to be Wily (already hinted to be still alive from the Maverick Virus) in a robot body for numerous reasons. Design notes in Complete Works seem to suggest this was intentional.

>Black Zero in Mega Man X6 was intended to be unlocked normally by beating the highest level of the Zero Nightmare. Unfortunately, there is an oversight in the game that prevents this: To get the highest level Zero Nightmare, you must collect 5000 Nightmare Souls. Collecting 3000 Nightmare Souls unlocks Gate's Lab and Zero Nightmare and High Max both stop appearing in stages when the lab is opened.

>The Mega Man X7 Japanese soundtrack booklet hints that Red, leader of the Red Alert Syndicate (the enemy faction of the game) was a former member of Repliforce.

My mistake if so. All I know is that the legend goes that FF sold well enough that Square didn't have to shut down. Again, I apologize if I was wrong.

>All I know is that the legend goes that FF sold well enough that Square didn't have to shut down
I heard it was to be a dev's final game before they left the industry, or something. That or the game was going to be called Fighting Fantasy but they thought "Final" fit better

>The three different versions of Vile seen in the X series are designated as "Vile", "Vile MK II" and "Vile V".

>In lieu of the Black Armor in X4, Zero was supposed to have been given his own unique armor, which was apparently connected to Dr. Wily. Zero would eventually get his own unique armor in Command Mission, though it is unclear if it is connected to the X4 armor.

>Zero and Axl's armors are references to events involving the characters: Zero's is based on the fake Zero from X2 while Axl's X8 armor is a reference to Lumine, the main villain of the game

Why can't we ever have a real lore thread without people posting the same fucking meme images over and over again?

>Playing skylanders as DK.
>His top rips off duing special move

BUT IS MOZART STILL ALIVE?!

...

lmao

Who would be a good Gordon Freeman?

Mario was originally supposed to be called "Jumpman".

Can you believe that guys?

they meant maybe you're shitty at games and will fail

you have to put yourself in a pre-EVERYTHING-IS-EDGY-BECAUSE-EDGY-IS-DEEP, pre-[INSERT-VILLAIN]-DID-NOTHING-WRONG mindset.

...

Pretend this post is the most amazing Mario lore ever.
I'll delete it in 5 minutes.

Because most of the time Lore threads are started by said meme images and, for example let's say the Mario series, nobody wants to talk about the characters or what little scraps of lore there are. And that's not even mentioning other games.

...

>being attracted to Donkey Kong

What the fuck

>shadshit

...

Fuck you and your picture of an incorrectly labeled dingo.

Neat, I suppose.

holy shit

Literally how do people figure this stuff out? It blows my mind thinking about the lengths some people go to to find this shit out.

What about game theories?

Hugh Laurie

We need more Peach dissing Bowser's parenting skills honestly.

Not like anyone else has anything better.

Is this from that Japanese only board game thing?

samefag

Kinda. It's from Forunte Street, which was the one that actually got released outside Japan.

The Madman

Toad Peach is cute. Cute!

very fucking cool

>Kirby was named after American lawyer John Kirby which Nintendo hired for their case vs. Universal Studios in 1984. Universal alleged that Donkey Kong was a trademark infringement on King Kong which Universal claimed as their own. Universal would later themselves prove that the King Kong trademark was in public domain, thus winning Nintendo the case.

I don't get it.

In Paper Mario, you know that TEC-XX will switch sides becuase he has a doublecross in his name.

wtf

...

something something i wanna fit in peach's backdoor get it i really want to fuck her butt

bruuuh i was trying to find a funny way to put it holy shit gj

Cool

I wonder if they’ll reuse old ideas for Star Allies

So, why does it matter?
Hyne was never brought up in any of the important matters in the game, and the story was more of a tease.
You would think a secret boss would have came from this.

> less fuckable

4u

>Hyne was never brought up in any of the important matters in the game

Hyne is the first sorceress i.e. the entire cause of FF8

Muatra would be gold and grey as well.

Americans get upset when you refer to the letter X as a cross.

Sony Computer Entertainment America tried to enforce it hard but Americans are so engrained that only a t can be a cross that they will literally see, "Shape, Shape, Shape, LETTER" when looking at their PlayStation face buttons.

Many PS1 games and all PS1/2/3/4/Portable/Vita etc manuals rightfully call it the cross button but by the PS2 era all publishers started calling it the "ECKS" button so Americans wouldn't get so confused and angry.

>PIPES ALONG THE WALL THAT LEAD TO TOILETS
now Im fucking sold

This big fat glorious fucker was King Hippo’s original design when Miyamoto originally wanted to make a Baseball game

Who is the Furtive Pygmy?

Yeah, the first witch thing can only be found in some supplementary material and was never mentioned in the game.
FF8 was a giant mess.

I think there's a gross negligence on here to the fact most Nintendo haters have never actually played video games and/or are zealous fan-fic writers from the mid-2000's with conflicting interests.

I gave up on video games for two years once because I was mad at Nintendo for not making the Zelda timeline how I wanted (this was years before Hyrule Historia). I told myself Zelda was only good for the story and Nintendo couldn't even get that right. One day, I swallowed the bitter pill and realized that I was being gaslighted by popular Zelda theories ("MUH MINISH CAP IS ORIGIN STORY," "MUH ORACLES FUSION," "MUH MAJORA IS A DREAM OF LINK TURNING INTO SHADE") and not actually following the game story themselves which is internally consistent.

Now whenever I see a Nintendo forum that breaks down into a flame war, I realize that these are just fans who went down the same road. They just never rebounded from their butthurt.

I have good secret trivia but I am only telling you guys if the thread is here when I return from my bath. I can't post in the bathtub because it's my neighbours, I have to rent it. But I can read.
