What game has the best soundtrack?

I keep seeing this album cover. Is it a good album?

I think the guy is names Richard Dawson. He's got some interesting folk tinged stuff, but a lot of it is REALLY long. It's well worth a go, but if you find its doesn't quite work for you, then there's plenty of other 'new folk' kinda artists out there right now.

This album is better for 2017

Richard Dawson. Good shit man.

muh nigga

If you think a 10 minute song is long you are a fucking untermensch.

Good album

It's about context. In his style his stuff is very long. It wouldnt be long in other contexts, for example any minimal genres (60s minimalism, minimal techno etc.) contemporaries in his style usually write songs of 3-4 minutes in my experience, which would make his pieces around 2.5 times the length of other similar artists. Nothing wrong with being atypical of the genre you're in, but in being atypical you have to also accept that people may not like the changes you've made to the standard.

Personally, I quite like him. Others might not and his straying from songwriting norms is a perfectly valid reason for that.

no

Nostalgia wise Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets for ps2 always put a smile on my face.

When it released I loved the FFX soundtrack, though my love of it has dwindled over the years.

I appreciate that new styles are being presented in indie games and I enjoyed the soundtrack for Fez and Machinarium in particular.

In terms of goofy, fun stuff the sonic soundtracks are often pretty special.

Muh nigga

Cuphead has the most amazingly composed soundtrack of the last 20 years. Honeycomb Herald is a masterpiece of its own. It has this ellington vibe infused with cuban jazz that suits perfectly to the platforming in that stage.
