>tfw bought the DLCs for this game three months ago
>haven't played them yet because the base game is such a slog and it feels like every level is another "that part" of the game
feels bad. Maybe if I wasn't so autistic and could avoid getting stressed about item pick-ups it'd be easier for me.
OP should have just said he wanted a Kinoborne thread.
Best theme too
this has me mesmerized.
im high af tho
its not even bloodborne you fucking tard
...
After the events of 0, then watching the cutscenes. This. Even though I kept going, "You fucking nigger, just stop." till the end.
I've only played 0 and Kiwami
he would be good if it weren't for his gigantic health pool
...
Pic unrelated I assume?
Gael was just another boring "humanoid with a big sword and dumb flashy anime moves, who plays exactly like 90% of bosses from the souls series"
Absolutely not. Dragon was top-tier though. Gael was just another flippy swordsman, as if we hadn't had enough of those.
The only Boss you will ever need
This magnificent bastard.
Women will never understand this fight.
Took a few tries, but finally got the S-Rank/Zero damage win on Revengence. Felt good man.
Why is it that western developers can't seem to make memorable boss fights like Japan does?
Was the Soul of Cinder one of the most satisfying ends to a series for you? It was fanservice, but done well.
Western developers want boss fights to be a story experience, while Eastern devs want them to be a gameplay experience.
It's funny because Japan can do both well.
I played Halberd/Faith in DS2, and had a Mage/Flippy Pyro in DaS. I also had the standard "Greatsword" as one of my main builds.
So when he switched between them, it was the coolest shit.
Asura's wrath is one of those rare cases where everything but the core gameplay is fucking great.
Because they often make bosses with little to no depth to them
I really have a hard time remembering a western bossfight where it's a story experience.
...
All the fights with this fucker had me cumming
...
I had no idea what was coming, so 2:17 was the hypest shit I've ever had in a video game.
Also for some reason I had it in my head that Soul of Cinder was there to stop you from linking the fire. I mean why else would he fight you to keep you away? And then Gwyn takes over and still tries to keep you away.
I never bothered finding out if it's true, but at the time having Gwyn try to stop you from linking the flame almost had me in tears. It seemed fitting.
It's not that. There are examples of both types in western games, Bossfights to serve as a bookend to the narrative, and bossfights to test the player's game skill, as a bookend to the player's progression.
The thing is, they can't balance it at all. It's either something like Uncharted 4's bossfight, where it's a pure spectacle, completely detached from the rest of the game's experience and mechanics, only to serve as a cinematic bookend to the plot, or it's something like the bossfights in, Destiny, for example. something to purely bookend the gameplay experience, but having zero narrative context that would actually make the player invested in WHY you're fighting the fight. Just another thing to kill, with a couple unique moves and bigger health.
My Goodness
...
Fucking pumped for the 7th

>Make a good boss in shit multiplayer game.
>The real hero who actually does war crimes in her name doesn't even gets to personally fight them.
>Some guy whose entire shtick was best in the world defeats them after using every ounce of their skill after real hero's army sieges villain's castle.
>Boss dies, but wins in the end anyway.
>Almost no one played the game since everyone hates it.
>Circle Strafe: The Game
>Good bosses
You soulsfags never fail to make me laugh.
I really hope they fucking announce western dates for this and Hokuto on PSX.
Never fails to make me yet again grieve over the fact that 4shits aren't actually sexy lewd monstergirls instead of the shit abortion of a "boss" they actually are.
The Dragon engine might be an unoptimized shit, but goddamn, does it look pretty.
...
shit. i always thought cinder was like the final trial to make sure you were strong enough but that's way cooler. is there anything in game that says what he's there for?
It'll be nice if it is but I feel its a bit too early
Kiwami 2 runs better than 6 I reckon, feels like a lot of the problems got worked on
I didn't really like all that much neither of the two. I liked Gael more as a fight and spectacle but I didn't like his weapon or how he looked.
Ludwig I didn't like all that much as a fight, I don't like grotesque stuff so I'm biased there but I liked his weapon that he drops. I also found out why they call him kino, the secret where only people with a PS4 are in the know. To everyone else SPOILER:the fight runs at 24 fps.
...
this is bait
youtube.com
>faggot from /vg/
>can someone help me with Ludwig?!?!?
>forgot to mention he was underleveled
>ng+
it took 4 hours
One of the cool thing about Cinder is that since he's pretty much your character in the previous games, what his "motivations" are can be whatever you want them to be.
...
Is there any boss in MGS1 that isn't a 10/10?
...
the first ocelot fight
Liquid and grey fox is not that great imo
...
>It was fanservice, but done well.
None of the fan service in DaS3 was done well. Having some random asshole from the boxart pop up at the last minute with no explanation was retarded. Gael was far better, and yet he was also a random asshole that pops up at the last minute.
First ocelot fight and the tank battle were boring.
Ridley (literally any Metroid)
Mother Brain (Super Metroid)
Metroid Prime (Metroid Prime)
Dark Samus / Spider Guardian (Metroid Prime 2)
Mantis Lords / Nosk (Hollow Knight)
Mirror Link (Ocarina of Time)
take your pick (Shadow of the Colossus)

MEMORIES BROKEN

>aesthetic
>fun
Also dancer and nameless king are among other favorites
Fireballs from above ruins it
How can you actually be too dumb to understand a story as simple as Dark Souls?
What boss?
Western games usually don't have mechanics that compliment boss fights very well.
Like how would you make a boss fight for a third person shooter like Uncharted?
STANDING HERE
I REALIZE
Also, this.
Because making boss fights for a hack n slash game or soulsborne just works well with the mechanics of the game. While western FPS/thirdperson shooter only really works when you're gunning down hordes of faceless nobodies, and not fighting one strong enemy.
I'm sure good boss fights could still be made for these genres but nobody does.

Is Lost Planet 2 one of the most underated games ever? Every encounter in this game is fucking magical, especially when playing Co-op
A shame the PC port is so horrendous
He did it for the (you) why fall into his trap
Favourite fight of Dark Souls, honestly
If it's any consolation each part of the DLC's feels like THAT part too
ds2 may have been the weakest
but this bossfight is kino
yes
Imagine him having a phase between fullhorse and moonlight mode, where you fight human Ludwig in a dreamy clean variant of the Underground Corpsepile. Would pretty much like a Gehrman type fight, only more moonlight
youtu.be
I was just basing it off memory since I had no idea what I was doing and it felt fun at that time.
Just watch Youtube movie and ignore the game.
I'll never forget when I finally saw gameplay of metal gear solid, and learned it was a knock-off of that 'Nier' demo I dl'ed onto my 360.
>Hurr durr solid snake big Boss so kawaii
>C-c-c-c-combo points!1!1!1!1
do the night vision goggles actually blind you during The Fury fight?
>You would face me, then? 'Tis a fool's choice, Arisen but better fool than craven
>gael
>10/10
in your fucking dreams. he was piss easy since its literally impossible to take damage if you just spam rolls. THESE cunts on the other hand singlehandedly raised dark souls 3 from a 5/10 to an 8/10 for me.
They had shitty lore though. 10/10 bosses like Ludwig are a combination of presentation, context, cinematography, difficulty and music. Demon princes had only one of that.
Also Friede would easily be one of the best bosses if not for the 3 phase bloat.
t. pushes forward while attacking
Ocean Roars Again is one of the best levels in the game and Umi-Bozu one of the best bosses.
>Story is so simple that it's shit.
Thanks for proving my point.
I've never tried but i wouldnt be surprised considering all the other shit thats in the MGS games
>standard "large" boss
>hit weakspots on face/arms for easy damage
>use masks to melt boss
umi-bozu is the most boring fight in the game
best nioh boss is actually oda
Gael has FAR too much health, it's basically there to pad out the fight, would be much better if the fight were shorter.
>posts boss that is in contention for the worst boss in the game
what did you mean by this?
>spawns in adds (that die in the fires but still)
>boss can sit back and shoot projectiles at you
>second phase it just falls on you repeatedly
>need fire damage to make it tolerable
It's better than Giant Centipede, but only just
The build up was nice
Vanquish was a thing. Granted, a lot of the bossfight in that hinges on the mobility options.
>Top tier soundtrack
>Top tier design
>Good balance between speed and hard-hitting attacks
>Fits really well as the final boss of the scenario
>Arguably one of the hardest bosses in the game, especially in G rank
...
>dat animation
hnnnnnnggggg
Also this one, despite borderline Frontier-esque design.
>Goddamn rocket dragon
>Rocket wings used for fast charges/sky dives as well as firing bursts of dragon energy
>Each wing can also act as huge claws or an extensible spear
>Overall, a constant threat for any unprepared hunter
It's a shame he's stuck in possibly one of the worst entries in the series. I doubt we'll see it again soon since MHX(X) are not made by the main MH team. Hopefully, you can fight it in the Switch demo and he's a very good challenge.
>17th version of artorias
>good
lol darksouls2 babbies really need to uninstall their craniums
>but this bossfight is kino
too bad it's locked behind DLC and in DaS2
