You do own at least a 120Hz monitor right Sup Forums?
You didn't fall for the 4K meme right?

1440p 165hz master race
Yes, I can't stand using a mouse without one
I have 2 user
120Hz w/ hardware strobe here, pic related. It's also got DEEP DARK black levels better than my old CRTs.
Is that a VA panel? I really want one for the blacks but I've heard horror stories about ghosting and blur.
Waiting on 240 or 300hz to become accessible so I can replace all three of my monitors at once. Until then I still have 1080p @ 60hz
see you in 30 years
What's AMA?
Pretty much. I wish we had 240hz 1080p shit at a decent price instead of 60hz 4K.
Also monitors are all fucking huge these days and it triggers the fuck out of me.
It leaves an horrible trace of the picture behind. Awful.
A strobed VA panel has excellent ghosting and blur performance. But I wouldn't recommend the FG2421 because it's out of production and had other issues that frequently required manufacturer repairs.
I'm selling my 27" 144hz IPS though and I'm not sure if I will buy another high refresh rate monitor. Maybe a cheaper TN panel or something. 27" is too big and most games I want to pull 144 FPS in will never achieve it anyway. Also IPS has slower response times too.
Game devs are nowhere near technically competent enough to create game engines that can run at 120 FPS+ consistently anyway. Game engines are not good any more at all.
High framerates are the best thing for gaming, but since there's not a single good competitive FPS game out there right now who gives a shit? (Rehashes of ancient arena shooters do not count)
its a thing on reddit called Ask me Anything, poepl can ask others questions, neat stuff
>Eizo
Never again.
Im thinking of selling my current 1080p 60hz monitor (I think I can get 90 or 100 bucks for it) and getting this one m.newegg.com
Im rocking a 280x and a 4670k at 4GHz which is not ideal for 144 but stuff like OW or Doom runs at 120+ on high.
You won't notice them in real time

This4k is a joke.
>Do color sensitive work so TN panels are a huge no to me
>High refresh rate IPSs are expensive as fuck
VA
>now you can't play games or do works because of the huge motion blur
I've been on the resolution train since first using a 1100df, refresh rate is not the first priority for me.
Naturally would be nice to have both.
Why?
Colour-sensitive works means working on a TRUE 8-bit or even 10-bit panel. Your 6bit FRC is already not supposed to be sued like that
He wants to get jewed for 100 more pixels a year
More detail and real estate.
I miss the era where everyone was using between 1280x1024 and 1680x1050. For video games you just don't need a big screen, it adds nothing to the experience. It's a thing for cinematicucks who don't understand that video games are supposed to be fun and not a movie
Your precious detail gets blured as soon as there is movement
>games are supposed to look bad
Refresh rate is more important but resolution is nice too.
Is it really that bad? I was thinking about getting a VA panel
>games look bad at 1680x1050 or 1920x1080
Spotted the retard
Can't say it's noticeable enough to gimp resolution.
I didn't imply that, they do look fine in 1080p but more resolution doesn't hurt, there's a visible difference.
I dislike how everyone is only focusing on resolution though since it's much easier to market to retards, 60hz is pretty shit.
Bunch of plebs
I do a 1080p 144 one but I've yet to play a game that can hold a consistent 120fps let alone 144. Also some are capped and break when you modify em to go past 60.
GTX 1070 and Intel 4790K.
Currently on a 27" 1440p60. Gonna go for a ~40" 2160p60 next time; screen real estate is more important than refresh rate to me
New Doom should reach 200 fps in that hardware and its a good game to play at a high refrsh rate, also really fun imo.
Pls publishers dont name new games like old ones, it feels retarded writing Doom and thinking huh better call it new or 2016 or something.
