Not him but I thought DKC was varied but with pretty standard themes that were very well executed. DKC3 was.... weird without being interesting to make up for it. It had it's own sort of character to it but it wasn't as pleasing to the eyes and ears outside of the waterfall levels.

TF is a lot better than returns I'd say, difficulty depends on which Kong you're using as back up, but if you liked DKCR, then you'll really enjoy World 6 of tropical freeze

DKC3 has a couple problems
1. no diddy means there's no dedicated "fast" character
2. later level gimmicks got really really fucking stupid, levels where everything is the same but they just flipped your controls
3. world map is interesting but doesn't really add anything to the game
4. music is good, but pales in comparison to DKC2

The Brawl version is more like a good homage to Stickerbrush. Using the original wouldn't work as well for a party fighting game where things are more fast paced. They both have their place in their respective games.

The only off pitch note I heard was at 4:09, and that could just as easily be the fault of the player and not the composer.
Everything else sounds great. Hell, the flute is my favorite part of the song. Just because you don't like its tone/color doesn't mean its bad. Its the same shit as using dissonance, its initially jarring but eventually it fits and adds to the song.

I love DKC1 intro, don't get me wrong, but the RARE and Nintendo logo are so well put. DKC2 not having an animated scene right after it was really disappointing, but that's just how life is sometimes.
DKC3's intro is just okay, and Retro DKC are just a stupid ass logo with background music. In-game cutscenes doesn't hold the same impact for me and are usually much longer than what a little 10s gag scene between the Kongs would be

Anyone else just turn the SNES controller upside down to finish it? I felt like a genius when I tried that. Outisde of the music (which is different, but not bad), it's 10/10. Had the entire soundtrack been done by the DKC1 & 2 guy everybody would love it.
