Nintendo Switch thread.
What are you playing? What will you buy? What do you expect? What would you like?
I can't believe I 100%'d Mario Odyssey in under a month, since I rarely get to 100% any game. It was too short, but fortunately I loved it.

>Playing
Sonic Mania, Mario Kart 8 (which is a blast among my friends).
>Buying
Shovel Knight and BotW. Though now I'm itching for a game a bit more story-driven.
Any recommendations?
The real question is how do we stop Sup Forums's switch hatred?
I'm not gonna pretend to be anything more than a lurker for the past two years, but it seems foolish trying to stop Sup Forums from hating something.
playing bing bing wahoo
buying xenoblade 2
I expect good times
I would like good times
Playing BotW
Trying to figure out the places to go for the xenoblade armor
>Switch doesn't pop back up, covered in scratches
finished odyssey and sold my switch because it has nothing else
>What are you playing?
Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade
>What do you expect?
Mediocre games.
>What would you like?
A decent animal crossing game.
>The real question is how do we stop Sup Forums's switch hatred?
It deserves to be hated. Why would you stop it?

Playing XBC2. Will eventually get around to 100%ing Odyssey but fuck the last 50 moons are hard as hell.
Still haven't really played BotW yet, I'll definitely dig into it during early 2018's wait for the next game.
Fuck I love the Switch.
I could understand that you didn't like any other games for the system, but isn't it a bit too far selling the system right away instead of waiting a bit more to anything else that might appeal to you?
That retard has never owned a Switch.
>want a switch
>have massive pile of unplayed, unopened ps4, 3ds and vita games
Kill me
Why can't I have a tiny dimensional space where time doesn't pass so I can get through my backlog. All I do is shitpost instead, or play vidya that you can't really complete and I already have 100s of hours in
That makes more sense.
How's XBC2? I'm tempted to pick it up, but I fear it might be too "weeby" for my taste. And how's the combat system? Looks weird by looking at it, but it may be simpler than it looks.
why keep it around collecting dust in the hopes that someday it might get games worth playing? Wii U sure as hell never did. Might as well sell it now while demand is still high
Can't decide if I should get Shovel Knight or the Zelda DLC. Also eyeing Yakuza 0 but it seems pretty repetitive
I just got Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but my daughters and I play a lot of Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Sonic Mania.
When I play the Switch alone, I play Azure Striker Gunvolt the most. Maybe a little Fire Emblem Warriors, but the 60fps Striker Pack is where I get my most enjoyment.
Most games are too slow for my taste, I’ve noticed this as I approached my late twenties.
You'll love XBC2 if you liked the previous XB games.
This game is insanely deep in terms of mechanics though. There's so many layers of stat building and customization. I honestly think in terms of sheer number of RPG mechanics, it's probably the most I've seen in a JRPG in 10 years.
I recommend if you're a XB fan already, but it can be overwhelming to casual JRPG fans.
why are you here
This is where I go to quiet the demons in my head, user.
I can’t have crippling anxiety if I’m chuckling at shitposting here.
If you've ever had this problem, it's because you're using it like a goddamn toaster. Angle it so the screen isn't pressing into and dragging along the stand, and you'll never have this issue.
I played Mario Odyssey all the way to the final Bowser boss and I died once and lost interest and went back to Zelda. May finish Mario later. I just had a hell of a time exploring the rainforest with the electric dragon serpent and Kass' riddle about the dracanoi river, there was some fun battles there.
I am curious about Xenoblade 2, does it perform well, how is the combat, and I hear mixed opinions about the voice acting. Should I play it in Eng or Jap?
Digging this console so far, sometimes I wish it packed a bit more power but outside occasional FPS dips it is incredible it is able to deliver AAA games in handheld mode with minimal sacrifices. As a kid I never would have believed a "Gameboy" could get this fucking insane.
Same. Bridge and skull ones were easy but the last one is pretty tricky
I'm buying one soon. I really hope that some of the 30fps games don't give me motion sickness.
>playan
Rocket League, Stardew Valley, Mario Odyssey
>Buying/Expecting
Zelda DLC will come soon, high hopes for Kirby, Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing
Might get Fire Emblem Warriors if it gets cheaper
Haven't played any XB before, but thanks for the input.
Just from my experience: be careful if you want to try nuDOOM on the Switch. It being 30fps isn't that big of a deal, but I do get motion sickness after a while. Also, the controls are kind of wonky.
turn off the internet while playing games
seriously, it really helps sometimes
>What are you playing?
Breath of the Wild and Golf Story.
>What will you buy?
Well I’m poor as fuck right now so probably nothing.
>What do you expect?
More $60 games.
>What would you like?
Discounts.
Does anyone have any insight on RE: Revelations? Mainly about graphics and controls?
I impulse-bought DOOM and I regret it, since its many technical flaws ruin what at its worst would be a meh game.
I just want a fun shooter on the go.
>the switch is not scratched because of the dock
this gif could have been so much more
Yeah, a better shitpost.
XBC2 special edition came in last night and I've had been having a blast playing it. I also 100%'d Mario last week and Zelda a couple months ago.
Splatoon 2 or ARMS?
emulate old games and see what that does for you. When I get burnt out or have no attention span towards games I emulate a NES or SNES game and it resets me completely, weird shit.
*breath in* Hahahahahahaha hh so ebig :D
For the price of a Switch:
>Buy PS4 for $200
>Buy Vita for below $100
>actually get to own a real homeconsole with a comfy controller, no downsides of being a hybrid (such as games with dynamic resolutions below 720p, or horrible
>actually get to own a real portable with a decent size (and a D-pad, and chat functions, and....)
>can still play every single PS4 game on Vita as long as there is wifi (university, coffees, shopping centres restaurants, even the bus - or a wi-fi hotspot for the price you'd pay for a Switch Pro Controller)
Why do I need a Switch again? XenoOfflineMMO2:TheScottishInvasion? Zelda:BetterEnjoyedOnPC? MarioOpenMeme-BoringCollectathon?
>Playing Skyrim
First time playing it. Enjoying it so far.
>Bought Ittle Dew 2 and the Touhou game today
I wanted a Touhou, but apparently that one sucks. Oh well.
>Waiting for Xenoblade to come in the mail
Hopefully it'll hold my interest more than the Wii U one
Ok sonybro, here's a you
>Playing
LA Noire and BotW. Trying to crank through LA Noire right now though, about halfway through.
>Buying
Xenoblade 2 maybe? It looks good but the combat just looks like shit. People keep saying you have to play it to really understand it but I'm not sure I want to take the risk.
>Expecting
Hopefully a direct in January. Something about VC in some form.
In an ideal world they would announce Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Mario Maker port or sequel, and Wind Waker HD port.
I'm an idort though, just not retarded to buy a Switch, that's all
I don't evenown a Vita btw, it's just as bad of a system
My mother want to buy me a game for christmas. Should I ask for Zelda, Spla2n or Xeno?
I usually pay for my own games, so it seems like a nice gesture of her, considering the last game she bought for me was Conker BFD when I was around 5.
>What are you playing
Xenoblade Chronicles 2, ARMS and Xenoverse 2
>What will you Buy?
BotW, Splatoon 2, Golf Story, Stardew, The Mummy Remasted.
Might get Revelations but just for 1. Really enjoyed the original on the 3DS.
