Depends on your taste. The first one has the tighter story and better overall game structure, but you have a shitload of new powers in the sequel that make flying more fun than in the first one.

Beat and really enjoyed the first. Waiting for 2 to get the inevitable price drop to 20 dollars like all non-atlus developed weeb games do. It really pisses me off that they're already killing the online connectivity though so I may not even purchase it at 20.

This game has barely gotten any discounts in the US. I also was going to wait for a sale, but I just bit the bullet when I heard the server news.
It didn't even get a discount at any retail store during Black Friday even though other weeb games like Nier, Persona, Nioh, and Yakuza got discounts.

You can also send out some challenges. Since you have all the powers you can get a gold medal score on a racing challenge and send it out. You are basically guaranteed to win if a newbie receives it who still doesn't have all the powers like Jupiter slide.
