Campaign any good?

Campaign any good?
Considering getting the Humble Monthly

Campaign's a glorified multi-faction tutorial with none of the characterization of DoW2 or progression/varied gameplay of DoW1.

Don't bother-- please just let it die already.

>$12
kek

An extremely shallow campaign. If you want a single player experience even at $12 it's overpriced. Yes. it's that bad.

little bit off topic but

Slaanesh>Khorne>Tzeentch>Nurgle

would never consider it alone for 12$, but Long Dark looks great and Quantum Break seems worth playing

Tzeentch>Nurgle>Khorne>Slaanesh

Slaanesh is gay and should die in a fire

Khorne>Tzeentch>>>>>Nurgle>>>>shit>>>>Slaanesh

>Quantum Break seems worth playing
Kek
You better consider QB the worst of the bunch.

but it has CIA

>reee it's gay
Could you be any more of a rebellious teenager loyalist.

>slaaneshfag
>calling anyone a teenager
the ironing

I know it's more of a playable TV series thing than something with great gameplay, but seems worth playing for the story.
Has massively positive reviews on Steam, so if you want me to believe it's shit please present or link to an argument

slaanesh is unironically the best though. An argument can be made for khorne depending on personal preference, but nurgle and tzeentch fuck you up or betray you pretty much immediately. Khorne never betrays you, but just killing shit constantly isn't too great imo. That leaves slaanesh as clearly the best.

>slaanesh
>not fucking you up
Becomin an inured junkie who can enjoy neither drug nor sound or any other kind of stimulation from pleasure to pain is the clear definition of fucking you up.
Khorne is factually best.
One can enjoy Tzeentch's wild ride and if nothing else, it will blow up spectacularly
Nurgle is plain terrible.

Nurgle loves all his children

>Khorne never betrays you
wrong
>nurgle and tzeentch fuck you up or betray you pretty much immediately
wrong
>a life of being taught pleasure through pain and loud noises is fine though
ok

Abusing his children by making them rotting masses of flesh dripping pus who feel no pain, which is the only reason why they can still function, is not love.

khorne doesn't do shit to you. He just expects you to fight, spill blood, and take skulls for his throne.
Tzeentch on the other hand will inevitably betray you for any one of his plots no matter how much you worship him. And nurgle turns you into a rotten corpse. With slaanesh you at least have fun and get more self direction than khorne gives you, so long as you experience pleasure or pain.
who cares what nurgle feels for you, you turn into a space aids infested corpse until you decompose while still alive. Nobody would want to live like that.

The campaign is tedious, uninspired shit. You'd have to pay me to suffer through that shit again.

you don't understand nurgle at all. Nurgle gives the gift of life. Not feeling pain is a pretty good ability to have in 40k.

Better to die than becoming a flesh puppet.
Pain is a survival mechanism, not a flaw.

Khorne will happily kill one of his worshippers as soon as you either disappoint him, or the mood strikes him
it's in tzeentch's nature to be constantly scheming and plotting to kill you as soon as it benefits him even slightly. but he isn't known for killing his own worshipper's unless they really piss him off or he's having a bad day and wants some souls, but that applies to every chaos god
nurgle's worshipper's enjoy being rotting corpses, it's why they worship him in the first place

In the universe of 40k you will always be someone's puppet. Nurgle is the only puppeteer who loves his children.

Abuse is not love

campaign is god-awful

Is it really abuse if you can't feel a thing? Is giving you a body that can regenerate any wound and never ages abuse?

Giving those things in exchange for your god preying upon your fear and making you little more than a carrier for plague is abuse, yes.

It's by some of the people who worked on Alan Wake, it has a meme actor, it's a third-person shooter with time powers, and the lead designer is going to work on Cyberpunk 2077. That's worth 12 bucks to me.

who said anything about regeneration? Look at this picture of a plague marine, with its bloated intestines spilled out of its stomach. Nurgle turns you into nothing much more than a sickly zombie, and his worshipers talk of love.

>Emperor is the only puppeteer who loves his children.*
fixed that for you

Good luck enjoying a tv series than. Don't blame the plot holes if it sucks.

...

played the game myself, the story wasn't anything to write about, just the typical time is breaking down and the protagonist has to fix it storyline

that said, it wasn't a bad game, and I'm glad I played it. just not at the price I bought it at the time
