What are some games with mixed or bad reception that you think people will appreciate in the future

...

...

id appreciate it at a higher framerate lmfaooooo

I fucking knew it. I knew you'd post that.

>People tire of the games that pushed it out of the market
>They finally decide to check it out during one of its by then many free weekends
>Get hooked on it
>It has had a few updates since it launched

>The Last Guardian.
>Remastered.
>PlayStation 5.

It could happen.

Never gonna happen.

Since ps4 is x86 hardware i think ps5 will be able to play ps4 games easily

The Order deserves more praise, the setting is amazing and the story was pretty cool. I'd love to get a sequel though I don't think it will happen.

Things that never happened?

Unless those incompetent devs admit the controls and camera were fucked up beyond belief, there’s no point making a remake.

It's fucking sad. They spent a long ass time making the engine. Game's still got the best visuals ever.

Fuck.

The Order came out at a bad time. It was at a time when people were completely sick of linear "cinematic" games/"experiences. If The Order was made today it would be an open world Ubisoft-tier collectathon.

>ywn suck Phil Fish's dick and choke on it

...

Fucking hurts. The game bleeds quality.

People bitch about the shooting. I loved it, though. Shit's fucking fantastic. I've never played such a detailed game.

Objectively ELEX

This.

>appreciate in the future
i appreciate it right now, love almost everything about it, the fact that the soundtrack didnt get any awards is ridiculous. the problem is that people were expecting shadow of the colossus 2.0 prepare to die edition

The graphics are insane, even Uncharted 4 couldn't surpass it imo. I think The Order could become an amazing series, all they need to do is improve the gameplay, end with the quick time events and make the game longer, but we all know Sony won't make a sequel.

It's too bad. I love that cinematic style. Walking through gorgeous environments gets my dick hard.

Not a single piece of clothing clips. Check that next time you play. Shit's fucking ridiculous.

>still got the best visuals ever

yes, because its not a game and youre constrained to tiny non interactive paths

Reminder that this is the kind of sickness you are supporting.

...

>won fucking game of the year
>bad reception
it’s the opposite my man, people only realised what a shitshow it was after it was too late

user there are hundreds of different genres out there, not all games need to have an amazing gameplay to be good games. I mean, it obviously is important, but I don't see any problem in some games focusing more on stories.

yo i forgot this thing existed

lmao

Both GR2 and TLG got hit by the same negativity wave. Gotta wonder whose behind it all. I checked normie book for the first in a while and saw xbox fags decrying first party exclusives and single player games and telling people to buy multiplayer only instead because I quote, it has replayability unlike single player games. Which is obviously a lie of course as online games need people to play and servers go down too. It was at one of those game site pages like IGN and gamespot that I liked when I was younger.
What I'm getting at is that it wouldn't be surprising if Sony's Japanese first party was gated to potential audiences by the competition that has no games.
I had thought anonymous shills were bad in Sup Forums, but real people man.

Actually runs at a locked 30 on Pro.

after watching TLG ending after putting it down and never touching it again it almost made me wish I would have stuck with it.

No it doesn't.

>There's a place for cinematic games.

Wrong.

Found the actual retard. You're blowing that shit way out of proportion.

It's not cancerous 'cause not every game needs to be The Order: 1886. That would never fucking happen.

>posting this shit 3 times
are you retarded?

Check the DF video.

Gravity Rush 2 in fairness barely got any advertisement or push from Sony themselves, and the series in itself is very niche. It also came out at the worst possible time being surrounded by titles like Resident Evil 7, Horizon, Yakuza 0, Nioh, and the Switch would cause it to become even most lost in the shuffle.

Check it yourself and play the game.

Damn straight there is. The Order's one of the most immersive games ever. It's incredibly fucking dope.

No game has a better narrative. You won't find a game with better acting.

Don't reply to me ever again.

>It's incredibly fucking dope.

s-sorry

Good fucking Lord, no. Great concept, great visuals, but it was all wasted on some devs who had to be arsed to make a video game of it. Maybe if Ready At Dawn were merely the idea guys and someone else who had a passion for the media form made the game instead.

Won't change the clunky gameplay and horrid camera... and the so-called ""puzzles"".

I'm not familiar with the behind-the-scenes drama. Is there something wrong with Fez or is it just Phil himself?

Been here since 2007.

Game's got better shooting than Resident Evil 4. Don't be delusional. It's just short.

Its just Phil himself.

>Won't change the clunky gameplay and horrid camera

Nope, the camera is fine 99% of the time and the gameplay isnt clunky

GR2 actually had mostly solid critical reception, it's just that it got buried under a wave of other higher profile releases at the time like RE7 and Nioh, not to mention shit like Nier, Horizon and Zelda not too far behind. Normally January would be a good release time for a game like GR2 but this year Q1 was fucking stacked.

>Pro
>30 fps

Stacked like your mom's tits on my dick.

I feel that's a bit uncalled for.

I was being ironic. Idiot.

it got a good reception from me. Only fags didn't like it.

>Delay the game to avoid competing with FF15.
>Release it during the best quarter of the last decade.

At least they probably weren't going into this expecting AAA sales. It is still the obvious choice for my game of the year.

FFXV

Well in years there will be so many updates where its a different game by then

I agree with this guy. If played properly, its a game where you "barely" have to press buttons while mounted at all.

I don't think that's how irony works.

It's how your mom worked my junk last night.

On one hand, yes. On the other, GR2 is part of the reason that quarter was so great to begin with.

People really don't like series where you play as a female protagonist.
I mean, maybe in the past, but not anymore.

go ahead and prove me wrong you can't unfortunately

I like series where you play as a female protagonist.

You're in the minority.

That is unfortunate, I suppose.

I dunno about that, looking at MMOs.

Nah man, Horizon sold like 5 million

>Online shut down after only one year
God I hope Kat's series isn't dead. I really enjoyed.

Though I suppose I did already consider myself quite lucky to get a Gravity Rush 2.

this

I should've specificed: ATTRACTIVE females.

Toyama didn't rule out the notion entirely but at this point I'd like to see the series end with a GR3. I love the games but their future never seems to be certain. Let's just wrap it up with a neat little bow and say it had a good run.

Boy this game got needless backlash. This is what happens when a series becomes more mainstream. People who hate this type game see it popping up and start sniffing around, and play it, expecting god knows what else, and they shit all over it when it's not exactly like their dumbfuck expectations. I mean, "too anime"? really? these people need to be gassed.

Why would a game with non-attractive females sell particularly better than a game with attractive females?

>People who hate this type game
I played the previous ones and I hate this type of game.

This game deserved the criticism, but it's great if you can pick it up between 5 and 15 bucks.

The gameplay in The Last Guardian feels clunky as fuck even now, so I doubt it'll age well.

The visual style and the theme about companionship will probably always be appreciated though..

NuRaider sold like 10 million

specifically this verison

also, MGSV

The problem with The Order is that it did almost everything right except for the gameplay.
As grimdark as it is, I think its still one of the best looking consoles games out there.
hell, it even looks better than some PC only games as well.
the lighting and atmosphere was pretty damn amazing. some scenes look like they were pre-rendered but were actually running in real time.

Even the gameplay is entertaining. The problem for me was the walking segments and length. Game has some really fantastic weapons.

You know it.

maybe 13-2 and lighting returns 2 but 13 it's self probably not
