Not at all. It was good but apparently because most of its sales numbers were from discounted sales, it was considered a failure.

i think this sculpture has moving parts so it had to be "broken" in smaller pieces. his chest and belly are two separate parts so it looks like pants

Even in isolation case we got 1 in a 10000 lucky i feel like, who thought studio that was making strategy games exclusively would make a good horror, better yet an Alien one, and here we are.

Just started playing this a couple days ago. It still looks surprisingly good for a game that's 7 years old. It seems Isolation took a lesson from their playbook when they made random pieces of machinery look like xenos just to spook the player.

Or maybe that game took inspiration from the previous AvP games that also did it and maybe those games in turn took inspiration from the movies?

I felt like the only person in the Quadrant who loved ACM.

I only ever played on max difficulty. My mindset was "I WILL NOT SURVIVE". I could not tell you if bugged. It just felt right everytime I died.

Sega considers every one of their good games to be a failure, then goes and funds absolute dogshit, then finally comes back to their good games to actually make some money before once again abandoning them for total dogshit.

I mean, look at VC, people finally get it on PC and are ecstatic, it sells incredibly well, and then Sega goes and takes a shit on their PC customers of the franchise immediately after.

It's not that alien isolation was a failure, it's that Sega's executives are failures.

Holy fuck, what happened to this place? Everyone HATED this game at fucking release. It's literally the worst of the AvP games made, with the exception of the PSP game.

Yeah, if you were Gud. I had to get my timing right, but on max difficulty I died 4/5x. The game felt right every time I died.

I don't recall hate for AvP2010; seemed to be a "meh" and forgotten.
If anything happened, that would be Colonial Marines.

Sure it was the worst, but it was at least something, and it didn't do absolutely everything terribly. The animations, graphics and general atmosphere was spot on. The multiplayer was decent while it lasted, for what it was I guess

We can only hope this is good enough to drum up an interest.

Nah man. I remember people blasting the 4 hour Marine campaign, the lackluster MP, and everything in-between. It was pretty poorly received here. Colonial Marines flopped, but that at least had the bonus of Co-op to keep it from being absolute garbage. AVP2010 was just straight mediocre.

it was good but people were right about it being too long. it's unbelievably bloated to the point where it gets extremely boring about mid-end.

Alien infestation is seriously the best Alien-themed multiplayer mode ever and far more fun than anything in the other games.

I think you have it wrong as to who should kill themselves. I mean, I get it - You were 9 or 10 when it came out. That's cool. You're allowed to have nostalgia. But AvP2 was better in everything, except the graphical department.

Ok, maybe this is a stupid idea, but how about an Alien vs Predator game, but the protag is a human. The style would be similar to Isolation in the sense that you're trying ti escape, but you have to weave between a small group of predator hunters vs aliens (kinda like the original AvP movie had in it's flashback). You can't really kill the aliens nor the predators, but the predators are going to leave if they win, and the aliens will just consume everything. In the end it's your own survival.
