Of course it is playable without patches, I completed it back in 2004 just fine without any unofficial patches. Not to mention the commercial GOG version comes pre-patched so you don't even have to install anything on top.

Also VTMB has comparatively little waifuposting relative to other games that rely exclusively on waifus to keep threads alive. VTMB threads are always full of discussion of the WoD setting in general as well as the quests in the game.

Morrowind is the ultimate fantasy land. It feels like an alien planet, nothing in skyrim or oblivion comes close to the imagination presented in Morrowind. The plot of Morrowind is to stop a dead god and his elephant faced magician army from using a giant robot to spread a zombie plague to the world, which you accomplish by hanging out with a literally biracial Jesus Christ who knows he's in a video game.

The dialouge system is kind of retarded, but not extremely difficult to get into. It's really handy how all your information is stored in your journal to just flip back to. It's a good game, but don't play it unless you're looking for a game to completely neglect every other aspect of your life
