Remember me? Remember those niche games you played on me? Remember hacking me and sticking PS1 and emulator games in there?
Let's have a thread about those. What did you play on the PSP?

only thing I stuck in you was my dick
I love my PSP(Playstation Portable)
I remember buying to meh games and then lacking money to buy more, until my sister broke it.
no, my parents loved me so they bought me a DS
I CFW'd my PSP super early in the game, 333 mhz "overclock", etc. Emulators just as they were starting to get released, all that
The system was garbage. I had a psp 1000 and 2000, and it was AWFUL. The screen blurred like fuck and the buttons sucked.
Good games were Wipeout (both of them), the God of War games (for portable games), Castlevania, Dexter, Lumines, Outrun 2006 (if overclocked), and.... that's about it, I think.
Fuck off. I had both (and have both still), and I honestly played my PSP more. Switched with PS Vita and 3DS though. Played my 3DS more than Vita
>mfw still have the original PSP
>it still works perfectly
>only play it when i go to poop
I love my Poop Station Portable
I hacked a ton of people's PSPs in school. I got a PSP Go to impress some gamer girl in uni and I enjoyed it for years. One day it stopped turning on and it was one of the saddest days in my life.
I don't know anybody that actually owned this model of the PSP
Mine is hacked..but I only have 1gb. Is there a way to use like a cheap micro sd for it?
The model doesn't matter, user.
We all know 3000 is the best.
Amazon sells Micro SD card adapters shaped like memory stick pro duo. I got one with two SD cards, 32 and 16 gigs. Format them together and you have storage for days. The adapter itself isn't much more than a couple of pounds.
Absolutely. I still use my CFW 3000 pretty often.
I still play mine quite frequently. Played the GOOD Monster Hunter Portable games, played a lot of fighting games and RPGs. Had the entire GBA catalog on there, and tons of SNES games.
>Playing through all those Pokemon games and hacks
>All those obscure JRPGs on SNES, GBA, and PS1
>Good for train rides and car rides
And then I let you all convince me that there were ""No games"" on the Vita.
>Owned a PSP back in the day
>Original firmware so I could emu games via the GTA save files glitch
>let my buddy play for a bit.
>20 minutes later
>"Oh btw turned out your firmware was super out of date, but I updated it for you no worries man"
>tilt.exe
I was pretty fucking mad.
But also a shithead kek. I had a flash file that did basically nothing but look like a Windows XP desktop where you could press some folders and the start menu and such. I actually used that to make people believe I put windows on my PSP.
The psp is just an old system that aged very poorly and didn't get enough support. The piracy scene is superb but it killed the system in the long run. The system was more designed for middle high school teens and young adults in mind. It just better to invest in a vita a hack the hell out of it to play psp games on it.
I owned one, and so did my brother. Barely any shop in my area even sold PSP games so I ended up just installing CFW and pirating games.
>mfw everyone at my school found out about it
Currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics, then I'll give Jeanne d'Arc a try. I just love playing on PSP, it fills me with nostalgia.
I'm playing dissidia 012 and pixeljunk monsters deluxe
I will never stop loving my PSP
All I did was watch Gone in 60 Seconds on the movie disc I bought for it. Similarly all I did on my Gameboy Advance was watch Fairly Odd Parents.
I bought a pokemon show thinking it was a game for my gba and was pissed the fuck off
I bought Aeon Flux and Beavis and Butthead on it for like 2.50 a disc
I do not regret that one bit
Don't worry user, I'm sure she's as dead as your PSP now
best game on the system
shame the sequels kinda sucked
My PSP battery is on its last legs, where can I get one that isn't some chink shit that will die after 1 discharge.
my psp 3000 battery died, the one I got as a replacement doesnt last 2 hours.
so I started using a psp 1000 battery I had for over 10 years, and the thing still lasts more than 7 hours.
I love my PS Vita!
I remember stumbling upon a homebrew top-down counterstrike-esque game as a kid.
It had a decent playerbase from what I remember and I played it for hours and hours. That was my first real online multiplayer experience,
Good times.
Couldnt play very much with those loading times.
I pirated every Project Diva on that thing then proceeded to buy multiple copies on every localized copy of the series on PS3, PS4, and Vita. I played Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on it, one of the strongest games in the series. I played Persona 3 Portable, an imperfect, but wonderful way to experience my favorite nu-Persona game.
The only internet multiplayer game I played on PSP was Socom, was pretty good for a few rounds at a time.
Good times, now i just emulate you on my phone
>touchscreen buttons
Come on dude
that happened to my sony xperia play
my psp lasted about 7 years... until the charge port stopped working... i played alot of gta, manhunt and soulcalibur and dbz on it, also i bought some ps1 classics like the resident evils and silent hill because i tried hacking it but couldnt get it to work... also i used it for music alot, i bought a sony walkman a couple weeks ago as a music replacement and even that doesnt really have the sound quality of the psp which disappointed me but the equalizer on that is the same as the psp pretty much, overall im happy with that but still miss my psp, i never bought a vita because no ps2 classics
everyone bitched about the 3000's interlacing, but I always found it comfy as fuck
It helped me discover my favorite rhythm game ever.
I don't think anything's gonna top it in my lifetime.
>stabbing your eyes is comfy
I guess there's a partisan opinion for everything.
I want to buy a psp so i can play weeb games on the go. What version should i get?
I heard the old ones battery lifes are shit.
Vita wouldnt be the best idea as i dont have Wi-Fi or internet.
Also how easy is it to hack?
Or should i just get a psp emulator?
I would rather have interlacing than ghosting.
I think you should get a PSP emulator
The PSP Go model is a good one and has component output
>Now Loading
>Krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
>Scrrrrrrrrrrrr
3000 or go, or emulate since ppsspp is buttery smooth
cfw is just putting a file on the memory stick and running it like a game
Any vita hacked fags here? do you need newer firmware to play recent vita titles?
You could watch shows on GBA o.o?
2 > 1 >>>>>>> 3
Goddamn just the thought of that sound gives me such nostalgia
What was your first PSP game?
mine was pic related
How does this compare to the 1000?
Mine was bundled with a Ratchet and Clank game which was actually good.
Yes.
Tested on Vita TV. 3.61+ games require it.
Any other dumb questions?
I fucking love Dissidia, only played it recently on my vita though, never had a PSP.
I bought a PSP wIth Liberty City Stories and Megaman Powered Up about a week after I graduated high school In 2006 ;_;
2000 has the same screen as the 1000 except the 2000 is less bulky.
Dpad is loose and shitty on my 1000.
is it possible to rum custom firmware with the latest firmware?
My parents got me Dark Stalkers because it looked like something I'd enjoy. Playing a fighter on the original PSP was a pain in the dick with that Dpad. Thankfully that was right around when 1.5 came out, so I immediately hacked it and downloaded Lumines which I played for fucking hours.
Size Matters was pretty good, I think I must've completed that game like 5 times over.
I was very sad to find out secret agent clank was... not so great after I bought it.
the hero's fever chant ruined 2 for me
whoops, meant for
NFS Carbon
Nopeat least for now.
>beat on the hardest difficulty and unlocked almost every item
>got stuck on one of the hoverboard races which had some piece of armor
>never managed to 100% it
Never played the multiplayer either but I assume it was dead by that point.
Damn I miss playing my gaystation portable sony affair. Best handheld ever. Perfect size and shape. Bought like 6 umd's for it before i figured out it was 2ez2hack and hacked it. Then I had a bunch of emulators and like 15 psp games installed. Gf left sticky candy on my custom skinned psp-3000 and now my X button sticks. I guess you cant have 2 things you love a lot without one of them messing up :/
Anyone else play Burnout Legends? Everyone seems to love Burnout 3, and legends was practically the same thing. Of course there are downgrades, but it has the same tracks and cars, and most of all it was fun.
I had like 400 hours in dissidia. Idk why but got damn that shit be fun as hell.
post your penis
Fapped earlier. Won't be able to get hard for 2-3 days.
Bitch I was playing you literally today.
Someone help me find out why parasite eve 2 doesn't start up on this bitch
lego batman
>for 2-3 days
...
Are you using the regular PSN eboot?
I'm using a random iso I got off the net, converted it to psp format using psx2psp.
To be clear though, I actually wanted to run it on pcsx-r pgxpe for them smooth non-jittery graphics on pc but that also didn't work.
There was multiplayer? Well shit I never even knew, maybe I just forgot. Wonder what that was like.
nigger
Well if you want to play on PSP, the PSN version is the way to go
kek
Got my PSP 1000 wet once, but after taking it apart and letting it dry it still functions. Altough it has to Be plugged in to charter when you boot it up. Later bought a Go which Works fine. Recently got PSP2TV mod for The 1000 and installed that.
Nowadays i mainly use My Vita and psptv to play PSP games
some games need popsloader
>Remember me?
Should I? Who are you?
>Remember those niche games you played on me?
Uhh, what?
>Remember hacking me and sticking PS1 and emulator games in there?
W-woah dude, this is a sfw board
Monster Hunter, Ace Combat, and WIpeout were all great.
I'm using my psp almost every day, OP.
Yeah, I remember the good ol' days of 2008 until 2011. Then, I started using my ps3 and pc more.
Fast forward to 2016, when I started using my PSP again to play recent fan-translated games, games that I wanted to finish (pic related) and replay a couple of PS1 games like MGS and FFVII.
The PSP is awesome.
Bought mine in mid 2008.
FFT WotL, it came with the console. Then, Crisis Core and Chains Of Olympus
Alright I'll give that a try then. Thanks bruv, you the guv'na
What a fucking dicklet.
I play it almost every day. Currently messing with post-game Peace Walker missions. Transfarring between PS3 and PSP is an absurdly great gimmick.
I also like to connect the console to the tv to play some WipEout and stuff, and since you can copypaste progress back and forth between PSP and PS3 with PSX games, I usually start a play at home and continue it on the go when taking the train and stuff.
I started doing this with Silent Hill. That shit is amazing.
It was like the Switch before the Switch
To me the PSP will always be the console of choice for those weird Russian guys who were hardcore otaku hiding behind a veneer of gopnik thuggery.
Is it weird if I'm browsing Sup Forums from my vita?
why is the GO so expensive, anyways? It felt cheaper than a 3000/2000 when I held it for the first time
Best game
But seriously, Daxter
I mean, I suppose it's okay
>white people
Jesus christ
My PSP is a time machine back to 2009, good Lord. Such good times of all nighters on emulators and Peace Walker and Portable Ops. Might be my favorite handheld honestly.
I missed the train back in the day but I want a PSP to hack and play. Is there any way to avoid getting gouged?
but i just played you last night baby, you know i always come back to you when i go to bed.
ma nigga
You sure you don't want an already hacked PSP? It must be pretty hard to find one running the most recent firmware.
Try testing the PSP before buying, look for scratches and dead pixels. Try noticing the battery draining, since it's suffering to go out looking for decent batteries nowadays, all of them last like 2 hours.
