What was with this game's soundtrack?

>Modern Sonic: Hypersaw synth leads over basic drums and barely-audible guitar
>Classic Sonic: Bizarre amalgamation of Midi and Megadrive soundfonts
>Avatar: Generic drum n' bass/Monstercat sampler album

Sonic Forces soundtrack is good except 1 or 2 tunes
I liked it better than Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Colors and Lost World

>the best piece of music to come out of this game is inarguably Infinite's theme

>that moment when you realize that the Avatar only stages are the only ones with vocals in the soundtracks

Threadly reminder

>He thinks Forces' soundtrack is better than SA1 and 2's.
Horrendous taste. Kill yourself

>better than Adventure 1
fucking shit taste

I like Sonic Forces' soundtrack, and no one can convince me I'm wrong.

>Sonic Forces soundtrack is good except 1 or 2 tunes
But there are more than 2 levels for Classic Sonic.

There's one crucial thing that has been missing from Sonic music since Shadow's solo game.

Slap bass.

I've been listening to Forces soundtracks after beating the game and they are catchy as fuck. Avatar's is great, Modern Sonic is good but needs less synth, and Classic Sonic's is oddly catchy.

Does this mean we are going to be hearing more Jpop instead of Rock music in future Sonic games now?

I AM THE SHARPEST OF BLADES

I didn't notice this until the end of the game.

Sonic game's music direction has been poor and declining since Colors.

>Lost World has one good song in it (Sea Bottom Segue)
>you can't hear it over the rail grinding sfx

>implying

The large majority of the music in forces is amazing but it's classic sonic's music is divisive. On one hand you have Ghost Town and Egg Dragoon which sound amazing and almost like actual genesis synth, but then we have green hill zone which has the most goddawful choice in pitches. I think the sound designers thought that genesis music is just fucking around in Gems for a day or two rather than creating a track that sounds pleasing to the ear.

>4's music sucked
>Generations was mostly remixes and produced nothing new that was good
>Lost World was generic and mostly forgettable
>0 good songs from the entirety of the Sonic Boom games
>Forces has some okay vocal tracks and forgettable everything else
Mania is the only shining star in regards to Sonic soundtracks in almost a decade.

Don't forget a main theme sung by the guy from fucking Hoobastank. As far as buttrock main themes go for Sonic games, its pretty garbage.

Seriously, what the duck was with Green Hill? The melody is actually pretty solid, but the midi-esque sounds they used for it are horrible. I really want a remix of it so the song can be done justice.

daily reminder people chose to hate this game because of Sonic Mania

I think we hate it because it sucks, my dude.

yeah well people were even more vocal about it to "stick it" to Sega

He not wrong though senpai. Sonic mania being good is why Forces got overhyped
