Gotta get 4 or so on first stretch.

Hard right after first turn to dodge birds. Back to center hopefully for a balloon or two.

Hard right to dodge birds. Should put you near the shadow line for the last turn. Hug that line as you make the turn.

Next part is luck based. Hopefully you have a lot of easy balloons around the turn. Grab as many as you can and get to the center right. Hard left to dodge first set of birds. Back to center. Hard left again right as you near the finish line to dodge last set of birds. Hopefully snagging a few balloons on the way.

Done like this you won't get hit at all. Master the route and don't worry about the balloons and eventually you will just get it.

Honestly, from all that I've heard I'm thankful it only took me like 15 minutes to get this.

Its the one where a bunch of them are right in the start you just jam straight on the npc will nudge you in the right direction at the end of the ramp so it helps you turn after going hard straight

I only ever emulate FFX so I can skip Lulu and Kimahri's ultimate weapon shit. I'm either lucky or good at the chocobo race though, never took me more than 10 minutes to beat it.

I finally managed a run on the HD version where I got every sigil, including Lulu's which for me was the worst of all of them by far.

A part of my life felt complete.

These two mini games and the butterfly shit made me almost give up getting these ultimate weapons

Except user, the TV isnt the problem, the bird has this habit of literally going the other direction because it strays too far to one side, despite the balloon you're trying to go for is past that set point. Seriously, this shit is infuriating.

Seems to be pretty much the same as in the original game

This, there is a little luck needed with balloons but once I got gud I managed to get the sigil again without too much trouble. Now this minigame is actually fun.

Gluing your eyes to the screen for like 20 minutes without missing a beat on the lightening is much worse, especially if you have to start all over.

Is it just me or is the PS3/4 version harder to dodge lightning than on the PS2? I swear the reaction time to press X is a hell of lot quicker in the HD versions than on the PS2.

I don't think you can miss it. You get the weapon out of the chest in the monster arena. You have to take it if you open it. The crest is in a chest in be said, can't miss. And the sigil is given after defeating all of belgemines aeons.

In some ways, I have to excuse FFX for some of these stupid fucking """""minigames"""" because its an example of early PS2 and 3D era weirdness. I wish the HD collection replaced both of these things though.

Never got it on PS2 while in high school. Only took a day on the PS3, Lulu took one day as well. If I were to guess, Rudy's was less than 6 hours and Lulu was 5 hours on and off. Anyone can do Lulu once you get a rhythm and picked one of the two easy spots, it just takes 15 minutes of pure repetition. Rev up a Playlist and take a break after 10 minutes then finish it up, easy on the mind. Not that it's fun, but it really helps to listen to music while doing it and splitting it up to two sessions with pausing. Tidus is rng and on the PS3 controller you'll wanna use the dpad to move rather than analogs, the rest is rng. The butterfly kimahri quest drove me more nuts than either Lulu or Tidus.

Vita version is the ps3 version or atleast based around it however, I hear there's mod support for the vita version now that the vita is somewhat hackable. There's some guy changing/swaping out models and such.
