What's the best way to get sleep? I have insomnia
What's the best way to get sleep? I have insomnia
post about video games on the video games board
Play Xenoblade on 3DS
don't stare at screens all day
it's easy, pretend you are sleeping until you actually fall asleep
Take half a melatonin, dim screens blue light, read Sup Forums
drink
Benadryl
Have tried laying down in bed instead of shitposting?
If you have insomnia its best to consult a doctor and get a proper treatment plan. Insomnia is not something you can just trick yourself into sleeping better.
Don't keep your phone/browse in bed
Read a book
Turn a fan on for white noise
.
>have insomnia
>given sleeping pills
>sleeping pills give me restless leg syndrome
Us gamers.
Stop using screens an hour before bed you nigger. Also download f.lux if you don't got it
speak for yourself m8 i have a healthy sleep schedule
exhaust yourself until you want to sleep
holy shit sleeplets don't spend energy the whole day and then complain
>Turn on fan
>Can't sleep because it's too cold and too loud
WELL WHOOPDIE FUCKING DOO
Wouldn't the sleeping pills help you sleep through the RLS though?
>get prescribed Mirtazapine for anxiety / depression
>take one
>get knocked out for like 18 hours, groggy all day
>what the fuck
>find out they're a super strong sedative and prescribed off label for sleep
Thanks for telling me Doc.
No it makes me tired but then I have to keep shuffling my legs in bed. It lasts for an hour usually.
I'm on mirtrazipine too. I barely play games now because of it.
Ask doc for trazodone its not addictive and you don't get groggy
How long have you been taking it? The daytime groggyness gets better and eventually goes away after awhile on the pills
You should go for a jog before bed
A few years now. I'm on anti psychotics too so it could be the combo fucking me up.
Hate to say it but I don't think its the meds user
>Finally have my OCD (as in actual OCD) under control
>Haven't had an OCD attack in more than two weeks
>Depression and anxiety is under control right now too
>Fucked up sleeping schedule still persists
Also, anyone else deal with their mental health without meds too? I find that being logical with myself inner self helps out. Like if I feel an OCD attack coming on, I make myself explain how not doing something would harm me.
I got admitted into a hospital for unrelated matters and my doctor gave me benadryl. 2 tablets before bed knocks me out.
If it was possible to logic myself out of a depressive episode I'd do it all day senpai
Well I am 31.
I don't fuck with my brain either, its tough when you hear about all these people using pills and it actually working sometimes toughing it out is pretty rough
use marijuana temporarily and only at night to get into a good sleep rhythm, then start working out every other day and slowly you won't need the pot if you keep a regular habit of work outs
Oh yeah, don't take my way if you can't do it. It took a long time to do this and it's not 100% permanent either.
what dosage you at? I never experienced grogginess or 18hr sleep
overly medicating people is a serious issue imo
Yeah, the side effects sound far too dangerous which ironically made my anxiety worse. I binned them and worked on fixing myself.
Man I once slept for 25 hours on that stuff.
I got over panic disorder by sheer will and I guess being "smart"? enough to not let it control me
>getting over more like
When I planned on taking anxiety medication, reading the side effects scared me off. There was a rare chance of getting a serious skin condition from them, so I said fuck that.
If it works for people, that's great. But I don't trust it.
exercise regularly or ask your doctor for a prescription
what dosage though? I'm at 15mg. I haven;t been able to sleep for days because every time I go to bed there is nothing to distract my depressed/suicidal thoughts.
also my head itches like fucking crazy only at night
Yeah, that's what I did. For example:
>OCD
>Feel like if I don't tap certain areas in my room, that I'd die in my sleep
>Question myself on how this would work exactly?
>Do this every time it flares up
It helps me.
45mg
People always worry or complain about having like 8 side effects to their meds, but I'm on 4 meds at the moment and haven't ever had a single side effect. Am I just lucky?
Here's how I view OCD: It's coping mechanism and a form of feeling control in your life. You tap on that bedframe because it gives you control.
I got over my OCD by tapping the intervals of my fingers in a pattern. I'm 25 and I've been doing it since middle school.
That sounds like OCD, user.
Sounds like you 100% still have OCD user
>use marijuana
People say that like it's easy as fuck to get it.
CBD is way better than thc as it doesn't get you stoned the same way
Do some fucking work for a change and you'd be tired. Most insomniacs are lazy pricks who do nothing all day and have nothing to be tired from.
dunno what it's like in your country but I have a prescription for some medical stuff and honestly it wasn't much trouble to get
yeah I agree. I actually usually use an equal mix of cbd and thc and I find it agrees with me best
Play Skyrim.
