I saw the trailer and it looks bad, not just the art style the gameplay looks bad. I think people will love it unconditionally because its not mighty number 9. But will probably be on par with it quality wise.

literally who. virtually every single 2d megaman sold more or less worse then the previous one. the huge "hype" cloud isnt huge, and wasnt for a 2d game.
I'd argue that one's worse in terms of "oh fuck" because he can easily get a cheap hit on you. Freeze man's is more amusing though because it's already dumb to use the same RM weapon on the one you got it from, but he just rubs it in.

Yeah X had a huge problem with that. Knocking off Launch Octopus arms is pretty neat but you can stunlock Spark mandrill to death thanks to the silly freezing animation.
