How do I stop aging in this game?
How do I stop aging in this game?
Don't level up.
Why did people hate fable 3 so much? I thought it was better than 2
>short campaign
>bad story
>holding hands
>empty world
>felt like the series lost features rather than gained
>magic dumbed down
You can exploit the world/hero save in the first Witchwoof quest to donate to Avalos temple multiple times to keep rejuvenating yourself over and over, which normally is possible only once. It's also means you have to get lots of money in the first half of the game though as well as most of the skills you want to learn.
sacrifice people or donating money to the church take out some years
Fable 4 when?
>insultingly easy
>linear as fuck
>cringy voice acting
>animations worse than previous games somehow
>blurry as FUCK
>pretty sure it ran like shit
>that god awful inventory shit
didn't even get that far into the game because it made me ill
How do I go back in time to play this for the first time again?
>cringy voice acting
didn't all the Fable games have that?
you can overlevel to grandpa state then meet your still young sister later
the MC didn't talk in the first 2 games
No. Number 1 was great. One of the best rpg's of all time. Except for the guild master constantly telepathically harassing you about potions, but you could turn that off.
2 was pretty good too imo. I thought the VA was fine in that one, but maybe if I go back and play it again I'll change my tune. Haven't played it in years.
Dunno about 3, I could never get last the weird way you run and slide all over the place and have to go to a room to access your inventory,
>Your health is low, you have any potions? Or food?
>but you could turn that off
WHAT?
you forgot
>butchered artstyle
Also changing the whimsy, absurd humour of the first two to full on farcical tripe and body humour
The first two have solid VAing. The third game doesnt have bad VAing so much as just an awful script that seems bent on forcing quips and non-sequitors into every conversation, even ones that should be serious thus deflating most menace and tension that the game should be giving off.
Also that video they released prior to the games release hyping up the celebrity VAing when in reality most of the main cast get about 2 or 3 missions at most to their screentime was just deceptive
I saw in F2 there's a 2€ DLC.
Worth buying?
Knothole island? Definitely
Oh, not that.
I think it's the LE bonus, a new area.
A shame you can't marry that gal in knothole island
>Except for the guild master constantly telepathically harassing you about potions, but you could turn that off
Nigger you better hope we never meet IRL or I will fucking wreck you.
i think you're the only person in history who's defended that annoying shit
Not that guy, i do agree its annoying at first but after awhile it grows on you and i unironically find the guildmasters voice soothing.
>missed the can knot marry joke
Shaking my head
Do some shit with donations at the temple if you're a candyass roodypoo.
Or be a man and mod it with Fable Explorer, set skills to give negative ageing, do some other fun shit while you're at it like disabling invisible walls and making hair stay when you grow evil horns instead of going bald.
Not him but the part where jack imitates the guild master saying the same had me laughing for a solid minute and the previous 20 hours of nagging were a good setup
the perfect joke
2 was better
Looks sick, where can i download this. I've always been fascinated with the distant parts on Albion you can see beyond the limits of each region.
Have you found anything noteworthy or intriguing?
>no way to ever play fable 2 again
Was p shit but damn
When?
I played the IT version.
Guess they fucked up with the translation.
There's a ENG language though
Jack was surprisingly good for a cliche character
All the fables were relatively easy and linear.
I've been craving to play it lately. It isn't fucking fair.
>when?
>A shame you can't marry that gal in knothole island
>a shame you can knot marry that gal
What other RPGs have your character visually age?
Wait for a decent 360 emulator? Or just find a cheapass 360.
it's BC on xbone now
Me too for whatever reason
It's on the bone?
How does DLC work?
He unironically has a really good sense of dark humour that comes across as equally funny as it is threatening
>How does DLC work?
I don't know.
I just know I put the Fable 2 disk in one day and it installed. Was gonna start it once I finished up Anniversary.
Fable 3 is there too.
First link on google. I don't remember there being anything noteworthy beyond the boundaries but i haven't played it in years.
>Fable 2/3
>Play a female character
Leveling up Strenght/might enables SJW mode.
When I launch it it crashes at launch with this message. The mod creator is basically telling me to go fuck myself if I get that. What do?
You just described every single Fable. It’s a garbage series desu
I distinctly remember three areas in the first game where i thought "this area looks unfinished/blocked to hide unfinished content"
>the broken bridge in greatwood lake, complete with sign alluding to its destruction
>The docks that Jack leads the archeologist to in order to ferry him to bargate prison. It always seemes odd they made this relatively large area just for a single quest.
>The areas beyond the mountain in archons folly. They made this unique biome specifically for the final battle. Seems like there could have been more lava areas they wanted to make
>1st
>cringey voice acting
>cringey
I wouldn't say that, but yeah, it's not great.
LIGHTS OUT YOU HORRIBLE LOT
CHICKEN CHASA? DO YE CHASE CHICKENS?
SHOPS
ARE NOOOOW
OPENING!
step 1: acquire at least 3 points in guile
step 2: find a merchant with gems. Keep buying and selling his stock to make a ton of money. The more gems you have on you the more effective this is.
step 3: abuse hero save (level or grows and items reset but you keep experience and items gained) during Twin Blades quest to get a fuckton of exp potions
step 4: try to get your combat multiplier even higher and chug those potions for hundreds of thousands of exp points
step 5: get to witch wood, and go to the temple of Avo during the first quest there. Donate 10,000g to lose 10 years. Abuse hero save to do this again and again until you reach desired age. Make sure when you complete the quest you haven't donated, to give yourself a further opportunity to revert age later in the game.
Bonus step: you'll get one more opportunity to abuse the witch-wood temple of avo hero save later in the game.
Boom, tons of experience and still only 18
That one scream that all the male NPCs do an the fucking kids in 2 are the fucking worst.
Probably never. As of now the Fable franchise really needs a miracle...
Oh dear
Looking old ripped weathered scarred and badass is like the only reason to progress through the game, why reverse it?
YOU'RE TOO SLOW CANT CATCH ME
Just let me smith in peace you little fucks.
'ELLO 'ERO
HAV U SEEEN MY DOUGHTER
OIM PLEASED TO SERVE YA
>HERO, YOUR HEALTH IS LOW
>AND I’M BRITISH
NEED SOMEONE TO WATCH YOUR BACK?
The enterprise that made Fable closed my dude, Fable is 100% an EA game now.
READY TO HELP?
GREAT PIKE ME LAD THATS ONE HELL OF A CATCH
Best boy
Fable Explorer is for weapons, clothing, etc...
You need Albion Explorer, which is for map modding. And there you need Freeroam App, which is a mod that allows you to walk beyond the limits of the game. There's nothing there, tho, but a lot of map mods add stuff.
it is cringey, but in a charming way. Molineux liked that shitty style, and it was ok for 1 and 2, because even if he thinked we liked, it's not that we liked it, but more along the lines of tolerating, because the games were still fun, and the style funny.
Fable 3 ruined everything, because it was still cringey, but lacked the funny and fun part.
HEY MAN
EYYYYYY
Still salty fable 2 was never on pc
THE ONE!
THE ONLY!
THE HERO OF HEROES!
JACK! OF! BLADES!
Is there anyone who actually prefers the original Jack of Blades voice over the later version?
youtube.com
youtube.com
I do.
well yeah, he's a fucking caricature with that modulation
Well I found an answer on reddit, but thanks.
reddit.com
The original was far, far better
How's the anniversary edition? Also, what is the most fun build?
I've got the original on a CD lying around somewhere, but my CD drive is ded.
It works
I don't know anyone that does, his new voice is better only in the final boss fight of TLC.
...yeah? NuJack was the only major issue I had with TLC.
>what is the most fun build?
Everything maxxed.
builds? I don't think I've ever made a build in a Fable game, I just switch play styles as I pleased.
Though in Fable 1 I like to go for the barrier spell early and chug mana potions so I never get scars from taking hits. In Fable 2 & 3 I think you only get scars for getting downed so it's a lot more avoidable.
Sure did when you used gestures.
The only magic I ever use in this game is Force Push and Assassin's Rush.
Original voice was nasally and shit. TLC made it much better.
Shit!
>use force push and the invisible wall remover
>creature AI shits itself if pushed out of normal map boundaries
Oi!
well lol i don't use that shit.
why remove the walls, there's nothing there, lad.
I disagree, TLC's voice is completely inappropriate for something that you should still be perceiving as still human, you know he's a monster from the moment he speaks and not just a power mad hero.
He never was a human
Neck yourself, I bet you're an Amerilard
The game very early on you can find out that that he's a feared villain as shown in the Jack of Blades book.
He is known by no one, and he is known by all. He is said to be as ancient as the Old Kingdom, and yet he has the strength of ten Heroes. Some say he is not of this world, and has come to us only for the pleasure of death and destruction. Some say he is but a legend, and the mask has covered the faces of dozens over the centuries, all claiming to be the same Jack of Blades. Whatever he is, he prevails in stories and in nightmares, and he is feared even by the Guild.
I have this middle ground where I believe NuJack sounds better to the ear but OGjack fits better as a character human/pre-TLC but i also agree with in that the nu-voice fits him better as a dimembodied spirit/dragon. I'm conflicted bros
Don't forget the god awful inventory system.
>didn't know i could pay to have my nickname changed
>kept getting angry i was being called chicken chaser
>killed entire town
The only acceptable changes are Arseface and Piemaster
Hahahaha that's fucking hilarious.
If you played the story straight, yes, but you could easily walk into a sidequest underlevelled and get absolutely rekt.
>insultingly easy
Fable 1 was never about the fights. Plus Fable 2 had some difficult fight sections.
>linear as fuck
Do you mean Super Mario linear or A Link Between Worlds linear? Because Fable 1 was about halfway between those 2.
>cringy voice acting
Yes but in a so-bad-it's-good Monty Python type way
>animations and blurry
Agreed.
>ran like shit
Nope.
>inventory shit
Only the third had that. Are you sure you even played the games?
>build
???
Min/maxing in these games is pointless. Just pick a playstyle and stick with it or change as you go along. Like Monster Hunter.
