A game doesn't HAVE TO be original to be considered good. It can be the most rehashed thing ever and be great, just like it can be the most original thing ever and be garbage. Take Bloodborne for exemple, it's just Berserk+Claymore+Hellsing+a bunch of other animes+some french movies like Pacte des Loups/Vidocq in Lovecraft setting with gothic/victorian architecture, even less originality than Dark Souls games, and yet I think everyone can agree Bloodborne is a 10/10 kino experience.

Also, I fail to see how esports are relevant in any way here. You can play the game without esporting. Why should PUBG be ignored because some people wanted to play esports?
