I feel like I'm going to see FNAF X show up on steam in a year or two

about fucking time
it's been going for almost 4 years

Never played, never will play. It's just a shitty indie jumpscare based"horror" game, whose only difference between the seas of shitty indie jumpscare based horror games, are the forced memes pushed by furryfaggots.

I'm glad it finally died. I'm sick of my 8yo cousin frequently talking about this piece of shit, don't matter how many times I say I hate it and tell him to piss off and go play outside.

I feel like I've never given a shit past the first which was mildly entertaining for a whole hour.

Pretty bitter there user, but I understand. The FNAF games were fairly unique at first but did become pretty annoying. Obnoxious Youtubers spamming my feed with FNAF videos didn't help. Although I don't think they're really bad games, just a different kind of taste. And I do have a lot of respect for Scott Cawthon as a developer, for actually trying to improve his games as they went along, and the fact that he made the final game free is pretty cool.

...

...

>the fnaf franchise has ended

There is still another book and movie coming out. It's not done yet.

Even igrnoring that, there is no way this was the last game. Scott has done this "no more FNAF" schtick multiple times and every single time people fall for it. Just a month ago people were INSISTING sister location was the last game and FNAF6 was cancelled because Scott said so.

That being said, I'm sure it's time for a hiatus. We probably won't get a new installment for at least a year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get a fnafworld update or something similar in the next 6 months

Five Nights at Freddy's is the Paranormal Activity of video games

>ended
that's what he said about FNAF 4

fitting considering the movie's gonna be made by the same guys that made PA

I'd say the Saw or Friday the 13th. Especially with taglines like "The Final Chapter". Not to mention paranormal activity are mostly unrelated stories while fnafs whole deal is an interconnected story

Happy for scott and wishing he makes the fesolate hope 2.

You shouldn't be mean to your cousin. He's bullied enough as is

Why now? Was there another game?

I agree, I've got nothing against FNAF, I'm just saying that in scott's position I would totally make a few more FNAF games to put my kid through college

I've never even seen them but aren't at least the first 3 directly related?

I just jerked off, so I feel relaxed, numb and a bit miserable.

Hasn't it ended like 3 times already?

Yes, it was gently released on Steam for free a few days ago.

Nothing ever ends.
NOTHING EVER ENDS!

6th game came out the other day and pretty much wraps up every single loose end while giving a heavily meta messege to the security guard (player) about the Fazbear fanchise closing and thanking them for being part of the experience. I personally don't believe it's the end end, but it definitely is for now. The ending has way more closure than FNAF has ever given

youtu.be/Ji2p2iGVD3w

At this one gave some decent reaction images.

Franchise? i just made a quick google search and how the fuck did it get so many sequels? i thought it was one game.

Only FNAF4 was ever stated to be the final game

Cheap and quick to make. They are more like episodic installments than full sequels

Scott said 3 was the "last game" too and said FNAF 6 was cancelled, implying sister location was the final installment.

He literally does this constantly

is he /ourguy/?

best bot

Does this mean there's finally hope for a new Desolate title?

maybe, but it's still a Desolate Hope

First game was amazingly original, kind of genius from a gameplay standpoint. Plus the backstory was a really nice touch with all the hidden easter eggs
the second game was better cause he actually added more gameplay elements and went crazy with the easter eggs
everything after that was a disappointment, he really dropped the ball

also the fan base is fucking insane

I don't recall him saying 3 was the final game, but if he did then I don't mind being wrong, I'd just like to source. Your latter point isn't really a solid point since FNAF6 was never actually canceled and the whole thing was just an elaborate troll.

Maybe eventually. Scott said he wants his next game to be more lighthearted so I doubt it's next. Maybe down the pipeline, but idk how long Scott will be able to go without making a FNAF installment

3 and 4 were low points, but I think Sister Location and FNAF6 are a pretty good return to form

It was in a steam forum post iirc. He wasn't wrong, it was his cheeky way of saying it's the last chronological game in the timeline. Never actually intended to be the final installment. Scott is a troll. He does this all the fucking time. IDK why people are always insistant THIS time he's serious

the fandom will make pornographic sequels

Disagree.

2 and 6 are the lowest points. Especially with 6 following sister location, which was so fucking phenomenal

Scott should hunt down whoever made the music he used for TDH and make him/her his main music composer
>youtube.com/watch?v=VSAoggVnbb4

>6 a return to form
>when the killer is turned into an australian alcoholic vampire billionaire zombie who gets banned from bars and drunkenly runs over pets and builds killing machines

6 has Candy Cadet so all your points are invalid.
I just like 6 more than the others because it really embraces what FNAF is, a ridiculous series with dark undertones. The first couple took themselves pretty serious, SL injected some humour and thay was great, 6 injects so much more humour and wacky shit and I appreciate that. Is it the scariest game in the series? No, probably not. But I do think it is the best written and has the best gameplay, well maybe write below 2 in terms of that. And it has a pretty much perfect ending to the franchise.

>Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has finally ended
That's what Scott said after 4. And Sister Location. And now this. He's going to make more games, especially after the movie.

>the least furry/most humanoid animatronic has the least amount of lewds
It’s not fair

>implying

FNAF6 takes place before 3. That's why all the animatronics are burned. Springtrap survives both 6 and 3.

No you moron, FNAF 6 happens after 3, spring trap did survived 3 and has been salvaging itself with other animatronics pieces.

>implying that isn't fucking amazing

Is there somewhere I can have the whole story concisely explained and in order? This shit is confusing.

Freddy Fazbear Inc has been closed down for years as of 3 yet it still exists and is building franchises in 6. At the end of 6, Afton even says that the corporation is now defunct.

The whole point of 6 was pretending to resurrect the business to trick the animatronics into being destroyed, though.

My problem mostly comes from the gameplay. Specifically the nights in the vent which are painfully boring with almost zero interaction with the animatronics. You can hear them, sure, but unlike literally every other installment, there is not a single instance you see them aside from the jumpscare. Feels like Scott was cutting corners for time and the whole section of the game feels dull for it.

On the other hand, the scrapping portion of the game is phenominal. It's tense, it's original, and it's got an incredible asthetic to it. That's why the amount of it we got is super disappointing. Only 4 animatronics? Really? It feels like wasted potential.

I would have gladly given up the vent gameplay for more scrapping. Maybe 3 animatronics per night, for 5 nights. It also kinda bugged me that ALL the animatronics were hostile. Like, what's the point of the testing if they are all evil anyway? The gameplay should have been a bit stricter, with some of the animatronics just being beaten up robots without a spirit haunting them. They don't move, you check no for each box, you move on. That way when one DOES move, it's that much more tense.
Also instead of only moving when the paper is up, animate them so they VERY subtly shift during the sounds playing. Make the gameplay more based around paying very close attention to slight details and movement.

Springtrap was salvaged from the saferoom in FNAF 3 according to the phone dude.

Your theory implies that springtrap escaped the safe room on his own, went to the fnaf6 location, got burned in a fire, then went back to the safe room in time to be found in FNAF3. Doesn't add up.

As much as it pains me to say it, GameTheorists does have a complete lore video split up into parts

>So the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has finally ended, how do you feel Sup Forums?
wasn't it already over in 2015 tho? Sister location

This: The location in 6 isn't official. It's a setup created just to lure the animatronics in. That's why you need to buy all your animatronics and other stuff from auctions/cheap electronic catalogs. Not to mention all the lawsuits coming from not following standardized safety precautions and stuff like that.

Based solely on the very low quality jumpscares, I would say that the vent night sections were a late addition after playtesters complained of the game not being very FNAF-like.

youtu.be/nKpDN_V-jZs

Watch both parts then play FNAF6 which corrects a few of his mistakes and clarifies what truely happened/how the series ends.

They're all related, being sequels or prequels or a combination of both (The Marked Ones with the time travel shenanigans), except for the Japanese one.

I think it was retconned.

Yeah FNaF 6 released this week. PurpleGuy/Springtrap/William is now dead, as were the other remaining animatronics. Also the first killed kid, which set everything into motion, got fully explained.

CandyCandyCandy

I doubt that Scott will end the franchise though. It's too milkable to end. I'm sure there are gonna be spin-offs and even maybe another sequel if he is mad enough.

>ended
of fucking course it hasn't, money can still be milked out of that fucking sad excuse of a franchise, so people will keep making games.

I'd like to see him make something else and come back to the franchise in a few years.

Maybe learn an engine that isn't so limiting.

He should try and make a Desolate Hope sequel

FNAF World is the best FNAF simply because it has the most gameplay, the most meta boss fight, and the best waifu: Lolbit.

So how do you get this ending?

he made the music
up until Sister Location it was all a 1-man team

There's still a movie and at least one more book yet, though they follow a different canon which will probably continue with any more games that follow

well there are already a few books taking place in a separate universe, with a 3rd one set to release next year, not to mention the movie so I can't say he's really done with FNAF but at least I hope he's done with the games

Candy Cadet is best
youtu.be/QBEh6LcEq7s

>ballora’s the only interesting or creepy animatronic in SL, and the only one to have any sort of relationship with Baby
>she doesn’t appear on screen or have any lines
>Scott brings back Freddy for the sixth time instead
Sasuga, Cawthon

Has it really ended though?

Wait, hold on.
>scott's largely a 1 man army
>constantly churns out new sequels, but does actually put effort and care into them
>is generally a pretty good guy
>majority of the game's fanbase consists of people who never actually played the games
Is FNAF the western Touhou?

they both output around the same amount of cancer, so probably.

considering that all the twists are explained in the ending and that everyone fucking burns to ashes with no hint that they might have survived like in 3, I'd assume so

No he didn't. He bought the music from various artists.

While i still think that 4 is the scariest one, i think it's also where the series changed into something i didn't like

>FNAF 1-3
Creepy and mysterious with little to no lore explanation, you have to piece all together based on vague information such as the death minigames, the phonecalls and such.

All we could gather is that there was a guy who killed a lot of children while wearing a dangerous suit who gets a taste of his own medicine in the end

>FNAF 4-6
Suddenly Portal-tier voice acting, dark comedy, machines being waaaaaay too humanized and extremely linear gameplay and nights (There is a difference between simple gameplay and linear gameplay, with SL being the worst exmaple of linear gameplay).

Is not that i hated FNAF 4-6 (& World), but it started to be really close to something i'd hate. According to the story we got so far, it is the last game as all of the last possesed animatronics are now dead.

...

1 had lots of dark humor too. I don't understand people thinking it wasn't part of the series as a whole.

>MLG airhorn

I think 6 at least tried to fix up the linearity aspect, I mean you can pretty much play the whole game without having the threat of animatronics

Really? I can't recall any bit of dark humor in 1, 2 or 3

youtube.com/watch?v=FDcBUWTmr7k
youtube.com/watch?v=yQ7ckHvrg0E

Like I don't give a fuck.
Never understood it.

I know that feeling, man, video games piss me the fuck off so hard, especially when they're games I hate, and anyone mentioning something I hate turns me into a frothing madman who physically assaults whoever dared speak in my rpesence.

youtube.com/watch?v=3iT_ZXK9pDY

I was also pretty surprised at the quality of the music in 6 as the others never really had anything remarkable in terms of music

> "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced."

>Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too

>So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.
>Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up.

>Most people don’t last this long. I mean, you know, they usually move on to other things by now. I'm not implying that they died.

It's funny because Fazbear Entertainment is essentially OCP.

.

Do you guys remeber when the first game came out? How novel it was, it was so creepy and weird but at the same time captured the comfy aesthesthic of chuck e cheese. Then the second game came out and it was the exact same game and then the fanbase formed and now here we are.

WHERE ARE THE BALLORA LEWDS THERE IS ONLY LIKE 6-8 GOOD ONES DAMN IT

>any of the games
>comfy

>It's too milkable to end
>Scott literally released the final game for fucking free
You may have been traumatized by other indie makers or kikestarters in the past, but i dont think Scott entirely cares about the money

lots of fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun

>comfy
Nigga what

youtube.com/watch?v=h2Zf2Nz-GXo

>comfy
>FNAF
actually
>comfy
>any horror game
those two things don't go together, really they are complete opposites

The fnaf 3 ending song was pretty fucking good

youtu.be/IHRM5A6bXFQ

...

Dark comedy was always in 1, it’s just that 2 and 3 skipped it.

Seen this one
