18:18 then there is a car chase with time freezing and all where we have to make way with Dante for Vergil who is escorting Kat out in the car
18:18 Anyway we save Kat, everyone's at a new basement, planning to infiltrate Mundus's tower
18:19 now the thing is, Mundus doesn't know Sparda has 2 sons, he knows the Order was a pain the butt but got dealt with mostly, and that it aided The son of Sparda, Dante
18:19 That's important because appaearantly only a nephalem, half demon, half angel can kill the demon king

18:20 So Kat plans the entire infiltration of the bank-skyscraper, with Vergil doing some hacking of the security stuff (he is a hacker and all too), and Dante making his way up to Mundus
18:23 We get to the top with Vergil in our side, who hides according to the plan, Dante walks in. Mundus asks why he killed his child, Dante argues it was for the freedom of mankind. Mundus makes the point that before he arrived, humans had freedom and all they used it for was murder, wars and horrors, and that he brought structure and wellfare to us, which is actually true. So asks Dante if it was for revenge, for Eva. So he admits yeah, it was (though Vergil who pulled the trigger killing Lilith), and it felt fucking priceless to blow his child to fucking pieces.
18:23 Mundus is enraged, Superman-flies to Dante kicking the shit out of him through half the city
18:24 Leaving his hell-portal painting alone, so Vergil comes out of hiding and closes that down with Yamato (nice connection to DMC3 btw, where he used it to open the temen-ni-gru)

18:25 Mundus feels his powers gone, Vergil teleports halfway across the city to them as Mundus is about to rip out the heart of Dante
18:25 stabs him in the back all the way through with his katana, and Dante kicks him down from a 20 store building
18:26 Mundus wakes up, turns into a generic giant monster, pretty much copypaste of the Saviour fight from DMC4
18:26 so Vergil and Dante fight him side-by-side (my lil fan soul cried the whole time how awesome to see them like that)
18:27 turns out his human body is inside the black goo thing the monster body is made of, and he manages to suck Vergil in at which point I was almost shouting at the screen like NO DON'T YOU FUCKING CORRUPT HIM HE IS A GOOD GUY FUCK NOOOO

18:28 Anyway boss battle goes on, the monster body opens up, Dante flies in, cuts Mundus in half and pulls Vergil out.

18:29 meaning all the alternate realty things, like the ads (if you saw the movie Immortals where they had these sunglasses that showed you the truth, like a bank advertisement really being just one big word, OBEY, etc. the game is full of this when you see the Limbo over the real world)

18:30 So Vergil claims the war is just starting now, and that him and Dante will rule humanity to win the war

18:32 Dante and Kat were told they are fighting for freedom, which was true, but it was Vergil's freedom (who couldn't defeat Mundus alone) and humanity's freedom was a nice addition to that. Vergil genuenly wanted them to be free though, but fails to see how that is gone again if they take charge
