It was alright.

What?

agree

3 was a war crime

t.actual child

Why? I liked Dungeon Siege.

which one

The first one. I haven't played the others.

>I haven't played the others.
Don't
Seriously ,don't.
IF you do then stop after 2. You have been warned.

I never knew there's a PSP game, I loved the 2nd pc game, how well does it compare?

I played 3 and liked it.

Im calling the police.
Theres a sick individual in our midst

>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>FUCKING STUPID DUMBASS GAY ASS NIGGERS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>Tfw can never get 2 to work properly, so never got past the Dryad village
Come to think, I still need to finish the first. Got through LoA which was cool, but never got past the mine in Vanilla.

One of the best couch co-ops on the previous generation. Not that there's too much competition anyway. But I miss these Dark Alliance -esque Diablo clones. Snowblind Studios merging with Monolith was such a mistake.

I think ive only 100% finished the multiplayer map (in fact ALL OF THEM mp maps) which is ironice since its much bigger. Its basicaly the same though

DS and DS Legends of Aranna was my addiction when I was 12-13. I remember one of the launchers showed off the trailer to DS III (IIRC) and it looked rad as fuck, altough in that moment I didn't know the difference betweem prerrendered and in game footage.
I also bought DS II a couple months ago but I haven't played it yet tho. I want to finish DS before, just to remember what was going on story wise. What should I expect with DS II?
It's a shame Aranna isn't in Steam

Should I finish it? I finished the Goblin cave and I hate the really simple combat.

>play Dungeon Siege 1 on release
>kind of like it, complete it
>try the expansion
>just could never be bothered
>play Dungeon Siege 3 on release
>kind of like it, complete it
>play DLC later, like it a bit less but complete it
So the question is, is it worth for me to go back and try DS2 now? I basically think both 1 and 3 are 7 or 8 out of 10 games, but for different reasons.

My only rant it how difficult it is to make a "paladin" (sword+natural magic) class , or am I too retarded to make it work?

There WAS a fan patch that added the missing content from the original on Steam. I think they deleted it though but the guy who made it has this discord if its any help discord.gg/T9gkDU

DS2 has a smaller party and enemy respawns

Thank you.

If you use both magic and weapons you are left behind. Someone who only uses a sword for example will have the skill level at 20 while another guy that used nature magic and a weapon will have both at 10 or less by that time. Magic levels up slower.

a-am I seeing her n-nipples?

Playing this with friends was the shit.
The OST was amazing too.
youtube.com/watch?v=1ysisxLSfsg

yes, I had that impression then and still have it, that you have to min-max or you get fucked. And mages seriously need back up.

To reduce the gap I usually equip skill rings amd amulets.

Why's this forum so racist?

>still no decent torrent

Who's Chris Taylor anyway?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Taylor_(game_designer)

Dude, Snowblind games were full of fanservice.

>All those big-titted girls in Champions and Return to Arms
>That barmaid in Dark Alliance with the jiggle physics
>ALL the female player characters

That's from DS3 though which was made by Obsidian. But yeah. It follows the same holy pattern which Snowblind started.

My bad. Only played DS1 and LoA back in the day. After that, I switched to the PS2 Snowblind games to play with my little brother.

When reviewers shat all over DS3 I just skipped it.

I still have the disc somewhere in my old flat. The main theme was fantastic but I must say I liked DS2 more.

DS games are the worst Diablo clones to ever exist and the first game is an utter joke where a warrior character is doomed to literally autoattack the entire game. DS3 is unironically the best game in the series, since it has actual roleplaying elements and C&C on top of a shitty h&s game in a shitty h&s franchise.

2 was fantastic

Diablos are my crack cocaine

I even play all the shitty ones
You guys have no idea how wacky the third Van Helsing game gets

Does anyone have intel on some real obscure Diablos?
I'm afraid I will run out

>DS games are the worst Diablo clones to ever exist
Personally I think that's Torchlight 2, sounds cruel but I'm glad those fuckheads got shut down

I dont take Dungeon Siege as a Diablo clone in any case. A game being isometric doesnt make it Diablo imo.

My favourite by far must be Diablo II, i havent played 1 since im not 30 and i don't think i want to spend the time installing it on windows 7. Torchlight II is fine but it gets boring. Ive had the same issue with Grim Dawn and Titan Quest even though the latter was fucking fun wi th friends back in the day

>mfw it won't run properly on my laptop for some reason and the graphics keep sperging out
>none of the fixes I found work
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, I just want my nostalgia dose, why must I suffer like this?

Ever tried Throne of Darkness? Was released around the same time as Lord of Destruction and was created by some of the Diablo 1 core team.

It's pretty much Diablo II with Samurai.

>Does anyone have intel on some real obscure Diablos?
The Division

Oi,we are hitting borderlands territory by mentioning that. Lets keep it to games that have nothing to do with warframe destiny etc

The Sacred games are probably not that obscure, but I really enjoyed the first two and Seraphim is waifu tier.

Dungeon Siege 2 is great, as a matter of fact, once I started to get over the massive nostalgia boner I had for DS1, I kind of like it more, playing through the campaign is actually a ton of fun and there are plenty of reasons to do so more than once, so many companions that interact with each other and open up areas that you couldn't enter unless you brought them.

the combat doesn't get any more complex, gives you plenty of time to appreciate the large world and incredible music.

Path of Exile league soon.

It's weird how they totally changed things in Sacred 3. It was more like a puzzle game in the end with zero loot and minimal character customization.

Surprisingly, it was still a lot of fun with friends like anything, really.

You shitting on Van Helsing mate.

Not that user, but Van Helsing 3 isn't exactly good. It has its moments, but it's definitely the worst of the bunch.

It's safe to do a run with me as natural mage +archer +melee +combat mage +mule?

I didn't mean to imply the Van Helsing games were total shit

But the third one gets real fucking weird

>Sacred 3
They probably wanted to mix things up for the console crowds. Probably thought that was a good idea at the time.

And then Diablo III came out for consoles the same month and was like "haha, nope!" and that was that.

What? Go play Skyrim if you want to be a Jack of all trades character.

I do 3 melee 3 archers and a mule
Always
Sometimes i keep ONE healer or ONE mage

That's his party of choice, you idiot.

Im sorry buddy i played the 3 on co-op from beginning to end with my gf
It made us closer and spending time together so.... I loved it.
Anyone knows a good couch co-op similar ?

>gf
fucking asshole get off my albanian human traficking forums

TRINE

I'm wondering why no healers or mages.

I tried once to finish the game with 6 mules.

All games by Snowblind Studios Maybe you get her to dress up as Natasla for some kinky roleplay shit.

>6 mules
are you a mashochist?

I dont like mages because they get 1 shoted a lot and they level up really slow since by the time they cast a spell the melee has swing his sword a gorillion times and killed the enemy already. I know attacks have to hit to give exp.

What he said:
Their entire catalog is on PS2 though, except for their last game War in the North.

I thought this was a Microsoft product.

DS1 = ok but pretty boring, super generic enemies, game almost plays itself (and it literally can)
DS2 = gift from gods
DS3 = more of an action game but really nice still
Sacred 1 = kill 1000000 goblins and do 1000 pointless side quests: the game
Sacred 2 = same but better
Sacred 3 = jesus christ what the fuck

Ahaha i know it's a very bad idea.

Thanks, my next run for sure will be without mages and a lot of mules. Nah, Mabel is THE mule.

get ready for rare cyberpunk diablos

But first we gonna get post-apocalyptic in this mother.

oh god no

Now be a good boy and eat your carrots. There's some delicious dessert waiting once you're done.

Holy shit, this is a thing????
Fuck yes, something to play on the bus to work1
Thank youa non, thankyou.

>Sacred Franchise Pack has Sacred 3 and a fucking 3 player beat em up
>but no Sacred 1
WTF?????

you can do a run with yourself as anything, you just need to make sure the rest of your party members make up for what you are going to lack. Mages have no issues at the start of the game because Ulora can easily function as a fighter and it's not until you get her that things start to get hard.

the cool thing about the first is that you can play with as small a party to have more of a challenge and powerful characters.

Pretty sure the rights for Sacred 1 are still held by a different publisher. Sacred Gold is on steam, though.

They're cheaper on GOG anyway, if you really want to give Deep Silver money.

Dungeon Siege 1 was one of my favorites. I need more "Diablo-likes" like Dungeon Siege. I want to manage a small party of 4-8, not just one guy. The fact that you get a party allows you to diversify across all skilltypes, and most importantly all of the random loot on the ground becomes more valuable as you have to outfit multiple bodies across all class types.

Despite being overall underwhelming content-wise, I've found Sword Coast Legends to be fun as a randomized dungeons topdown action RPG with a party of four.

I used to keep Ulora as an Archer because of her dexterity.

Maybe a run will be more effective if some character is not a mage but can heal.

My usual run is with 8 slots full but i feel some lost in time.

bump

I remember video game magazines about that game and everywhere they were marketing it as "Chris Taylor's game"... I mean wtf is chris taylor ? I still don't know to this day

this game is such a flawed gem, if it had a mod that reduced enemy movement speed it would be 1000x better.

see

This series is one of the biggest memories from my childhood. I used to play the first game at one of my mom's friend's places when they were talking and shit and I beat the second one like 5 times (including unlocking the secret area where all the whacky shit is). Then I beat the PSP game twice.

It's so fucking sad that DS3 was so fucking awful because the people making didn't understand what made the first two good and tried to make it into a generic isometric ARPG and effectively murdered the entire fucking franchise.

> I want to manage a small party of 4-8

Try Throne of Darkness.
