Never played a Persona game but is it really about generic school shit only? Why is it so praised here?

>iss it really about generic school shit
no
This shit is going to get banned from Sup Forums because angry personafag weebs are going to sperg out everytime he's posted. Happened last time aswell.
I wish conan actually got good at games, i'd watch his shit all the time.
Yes, with a side of mystery.
I played P3 got about half way before I gave up, pretty boring unless you are really into JRPGs, bonus if you like weeb stuff. If not don't bother.
Its a decent game, but some of the monsters abilities are broken. If you can ignore that and like Shounen shit youll enjoy it
Persona is about suffering
Because reddit also comes here
so what did conan say about p5?
Persona games depict a semi-normal high school social life, something nobody on Sup Forums has ever experienced.
Could you be any more of a contrarian try-hard?
he said it's a typical anime high school game, with part time jobs. Basically.
thanks....to be fair it is pretty typical. Still had fun with it. more of a smt person myself.
SURPRISE
Sup Forums is full of weebs!
They're all basically urban fantasy games where the characters are in high school, and later games put an emphasis on balancing school, social, and world-saving lives effectively, but it has some intriguing character drama, which is mostly contained in the social links in later games.
They're somewhat derivative and riff heavily off of anime cliches, but the other 50% is interesting shit. Also, the gameplay in all of them is solid for an RPG, Persona 5 having perfected the formula that 3 set forth and the first two games being more traditional RPGs, but also having much stronger narratives.
Yeah, sometimes it beats you over the head with the high school tropes, but that's not all the game is.
no. he's the "CLUELESS GAMER"
Shin Megami Tensei might be more up your alley if you don't like the school simulation aspect
t. Conan
I have a love hate relationship with persona games.
The school life VN portions are boring to hell, but the actual gameplay segments are good.
>Never played a Persona game but is it really about generic school shit only?
Persona is a spinoff series of Shin Megami Tensei. The SMT games are about the world generally going to apocalyptic shit and becoming infested by demons who you fight against, enslave and force them to fight their own.
Persona games are like a CW series about high school kids, oh and there is some demon fighting, you know...if they're up for it.
>Why is it so praised here?
Because Sup Forums is filled with children...and adults who were loner weirdos in high school who can finally be popular in Persona!
>implying it's not just Sup Forumstards false flaggging that people are mad and attempting to goad them to fuel their trolling circlejerk
Persona gameplay is simplified smt gameplay.
Give smt a try.
Play the SMT series then. It's relatively the same gameplay but without any social links/high school setting. SMT IV(3DS) or SMT Nocturne(PS2) is generally the best starting place.

HOW ABOUT NOT BEING A FUCKING BRAINDEAD RETARD AND USING GOOGLE YOU FUCKING MONGOLOID
Persona 5 after the first boss has a school setting but it's so far in the background it's pretty irrelevant. It kind of just takes up time in your day at that point.
It's about a group of students who are involved in another, supernatural world, and you balance gameplay between the real world stuff and the other world stuff. It's urban fantasy.
