Pretty good, I'd say 6.5/10. Kinda want to say 7, but there were still the shitty ads all over the place. The show is still amateur hour and not as professional as it tries to look.
Enjoyable nevertheless; one of the least worst conferences/vidya awards I've ever seen.

Warframe/R6 got robbed of ongoing game. MHW got robbed of most anticipated. Game direction should have gone to RE7 probably. It was a popularity contest at the end of the day.
amazing, couldn't ask for more. I mean, this is an awards show. Reveals like Bayo3, SoulCa 6 and zelda DLC is almost PSX or even E3-worthy.
Categories like the award for keeping a game supported and the tribute to the woman programmer at atari make this show less like a "hey awards for movies are cool, let's do exactly that but for games" and more like an honest celebration of games.
the deals and offers are kind of weird, but hey, sponsors.
Was surprised by the amount of japanese developers on the show. In the VGA of 2012 (the first ones I watched online), there weren't almost any.

Metro was just a long in-engine cutscene showing off environments. But I will admit the tone seems to be lonelier & closer to the first game than the action flick that was Last Light
