Why is no one playing Gigantic? It is free, not pay2win and super fun. It also has awesome mechanics, feels smooth and looks nice. The quality is not the reason why so few players play, so what is it then?

PvP games are shit and it wasnt marketed enough to normalfags so nobody bothered.

This is true. I don't get it why they did not advertise it. It has so much potential, but they don't even make a post themselves when an update hits on any site except their own forum.

I so liked the art and animation job on it, a real piece of work!

But marketing was nowhere and I must admit I didn't find it "fun". And also I'm a moba hater, which doesn't help. I would play a pve game with that skill though. Creative studios should stop dealing with pvp market, it's not the only gold mine. I'm getting tired of that sh!tty trend.
Another argument could be that they tried (too late) to invade a market that was taken by classic moba's already.
Gigantic is the battleborn of the moba genre.

Motiga should have made even a solo story driven game and release on switch or whatever! We're not gonna find such intersting artists in a long time in video game. They screwed.

I quite playing gigantic long ago, uninstalled came back months later to it, reinstalled and started playing again. Its fun but after a few months I deleted it again, this time for good because of 4 main reasons:
1: queue times for a match can be long, like 6 minutes plus long and i tend to recognize some players
2: the company who made gigantic doesn't exist anymore and that raises some concerns
3: I'd spend some money on the game but I just don't know the future it will have at this stat and so I'm reluctant to invest and keep playing
4: lack of voice chat ingame can really kill the experience, salt or not social interaction is pretty important and spamming the ingame voice options enough

Queue times are long since few player play. Try queuing in the early evening.

Motiga still exists, although only a small portion of it since a lot were laid off.

Voice chat is in games since at least 2 months.

Also the new map is fun as fuck

Ive played the new map and its easily one of my favorites. Also voice chat got added? because its only been a few weeks since I deleted it and last time people were still using the ingame dialogue options.

I remember the constant threads that were on Sup Forums during the summer.

Yes, it's in there, but it is not that trivial to use and it was just a small announcement, so no one really uses it. Try looking in the settings in the voice tab. Usually, the ping wheel is enough to communicate, in addition to the 1-4 key commands

Well it's not like they got the name out there very much. Also wasn't the 6gb of ran requirement an issue? Not sure how people don't have more than 6, but apparently a lot don't and that hurts since groups if friends can't play together.

Tried it out for a weekend and it wasjyst a Moba with a different presentation. Gameplay felt shallow and attacks felt like they had no weight or bearing on what they hit. I discussed it at length with a friend and we concluded that the target audience for it is young males who don’t yet have a taste for what makes good gameplay

Looked like an awesome game, just their timing was off and no real reason to play it over smite.

6gb is too much for third worlders

the game was in development even before 2014. They simply had a retarded management team and they wasted a shitload of time. They could have easily released the game before OW.

Because Beckett, the Margrave, HK-47, Tyto, Sven, and Aisling are the only characters I like playing but half of them suck and the other half are always instalocked by others unless I solo queue them, but that takes fucking ages since they're popular and everyone else wants them too.

Also the lack of maps tired me out on it ages ago.
