Since when were you under the impression that it will game better? It's like saying amd cpu are better for gaming than intel.

I need a new CPU, trying to keep a bulldozer cool is like trying to travel FTL

>buying a blower

It’s like you want your house to catch fire

110 TFLOPS
110 TFLOPS
110 TFLOPS
110 TFLOPS

LEARN TO FUCKING READ
THIS IS 10X AS POWERFUL AS A 1080TI

>3k for this
what the fuck

It's a budget tesla for meme AI learning. 1180Ti will be sub $1k and deliver better gaymen performance.

Don't forget to grab yourself a brand new Intelaviv processor to go with your sick new card.

4k agmeing!

when?

any word on that?

Probably end of 2018.
Nvidia always goes Titan>xx80>>xx60>>Ti

What doe Ti means?

If you buy this card for gaming, you get an $1000 GPU with a $2000 feature that you will never, ever use.

I bet you have 64gb of ram for gayming

it stands for titanium, you dingaling.

And that, in turn, stands for a premium version of an existing card.

i have a 3gb 1060

it's been great

>not a gaming gpu
Did you know Nvidia is selling tesla for 10k.

What mobo would be good for a ryzen 5 and gtx 1060 with 6gb?

Any B350 with 4 RAM slots supporting up to 3200MT/s RAM.

literally anything. Ryzen barely overclocks so you don't need a great motherboard. Just get a b350 with decent power phase

>tfw 1080ti-let

I have a asus stryx b350-f no complaints from me. I turned the gay RGB lighting off though.

>bigger numbers are better
Please educate yourself, Nvidishill. Virtually none of those flops can be used for gaming.

wow, first volta card.
so we'll be seeing more consumer-grade volta cards next year?
A 1150 w/ 1060 levels for preformace for like $150 sounds great.

Been using a GTX 1080 SLI (Not going to lie, the SLI has been a waste). Not planning on upgrading my cards for awhile, although I might upgrade my CPU so I can use my current one in my aging Plex server.

You know thats FP16 performance? Games use FP32 most of the time. But sure you can shill all you want it's shill board after all.

Yes, that's been the estimated schedule for a while. Now just to hope that nvidia got yields under control and it won't end up being a paper launch. They had enough time to prepare thanks to AMD dropping the ball.

oh ok then it only has 55 Tflops no big deal! Just 5x more powerful than a GPU capable of 4k60fps on modern titles :^)

>Not planning on upgrading my cards for awhile
sell one now, one later to upgrade to volta

i game with 2 980s in SLI and a 1050 in non-SLI

any mobo will do for ryzen cuz low overclocks capabilities (i.e my r7 1700 is 3.0-3.8 vanilla and clocks to 4.0 on the cheapest mobo, while the best result was 4.2 on the most expensive one)

the mobo problem starts with ram compatibility, down here in SA we don't get many ram options so i had to import one of the few 2x16gb 3khz that was compatible with the mobo at the time (they might also update the mobo to be compatible for stuff so watch for that)

>Sup Forums the thread
why this is allowed?

>I didn't want to replace my 980 cards so instead I bought a third one
fuck off retard, holy shit

forgot this:
u want good ram speed with ryzen rather than times, so there will be a difference between 2.4k and 3k+

No. Consumer GPUs will be shown in late March and they will not be Volta, but "Ampere".
Odds are it's just going to be Pascal refresh. 1 new high end card, 1080ti gets rebadged 1180, 1080 gets rebadged 1170, etc.

It's about 15 Tflops usable for gaming. The rest is the tensor cores for AI learning.

Do you have literally any source whatsoever for this

It does't work like that, it has 15.0 TFLOPs FP32 while 1080ti has 10.8 TFLOPs FP32. We have to wait for 1180 if they won't change naming scheeme .

>Wasting GPUs on video games

tweaktown.com/news/59816/nvidias-next-gen-geforce-teased-ampere-unveil-2018/index.html

That mentions ampere, but nothing about a rebadge or refresh. The whole article is based on literally one sentence from a german news site.

it's not 16 bit performance.
Tensor cores do 16 bit math, but only very specific matrix operations. Can't use them for anything else.

The logical conclusion here is that Ampere is Volta without tensor, not that it's Pascal Refresh.

Ampere isn't even being spinned yet, you retard. Also nvidia always goes hi-end first with new architecture.

Yup my bad, it's basicly deep learning-the gpu for those who don't need multi volta systems.

Volta is Pascal with Tensor Cores

exactly. If there was going to be consumer Volta, Titan V would be GV102.

So why is the i5 8400 so good if it is rated at 2.8ghz and goes up to only 4.0 on boost?

>Titan Sup Forums
>It's not about video games

nice

>Volta is Pascal with Tensor Cores
Volta isn't even on the same process as pascal.
