So it's in a setting that has Japanese writing which doesn't apply to any other FROM IP than Tenchu.

This whole article is confirmation bias. Project Beast didn't have Sony's name on it in the beginning, so that "fact" is out the window. The "kunai" isn't cut and dry, so you can only see it if you want to see it. Japanese writing is generic as fuck so it can't really be tied to a single game. So the only thing left is the phrase. Did the character in Tenchu ever die? If not then you can throw it out as evidence of anything putting us back at square 1.

It's a brand new IP under their Sony partnership. Tenchu was multiplat in the past, and there is no way that Sony would give a partnership and millions, for something that isn't freshly developed specifically for their console.

Yes, not sure if they were good or not though. Wrath of Heaven had an Xbox port, the DS game was exclusive, same with the 360 game Tenchu Z and some puzzle game spinoff, Shadow Assassins was on Wii and PSP.

There's a kunai and the writing on the back is in hentaigana, a way of writing that is no longer used, so it's set in feudal Japan. It makes sense to be Tenchu or Kuon or a new IP but you're right we know nothing. It could be revealed to be an Eastern race track for Bloodborne Kart for all we know.

Its a nice idea but I don't think any studio today could capture the feel and atmosphere of the original tenchu games. Also I hope there's no demons souls remaster/remake as I'm 99% certain they'd nerf acid cloud and stormruler, making the game just another no fun allowed gankfest.
