how the fuck is this even legal?
How the fuck is this even legal?
It's not a crime to create a pyramid scheme so long as people keep pouring money in. See: Bitcoin.
Pyramid schemes are actually illegal and bitcoin is more legit than this. It's an asset like gold but it's being overvaluated right now.
Same reason why charity isn't illegal.
>people actually creating new tools specifically to work on this game
you're delusional if you think after this is released you wont see a new fucking era of gaming.
ponzi schemes are illegal; manias - which is bitcoin - are not.
There's a part of me that wants the game their working on to come out since it'd be cool, but it probably wont happen. It just seems super ambitious.
its seems like the era for super ambitious shit dont you think. look at the world right now man. theres hope again.
>he thinks bitcoin is a pyramid scheme
stay poor no coiner
>tfw considered buying bitcoin 4 fun when it was at like ten for a dollar
>tfw didn't
Ive still made some bank off of it but fuck, man. I could've been rich as fuck right now if I'd done it.
Feels bad, man.
>t. every neet ever
cheer up cunt. just get a hold of 1 single one and stay comfy for the next 15 years
It's a hindsight 20/20 thing, man.
Right now I'm just slowly making money off of individual trades and letting what i have grow.
If i could go back in time I'd tell myself to buy bitcoin.
Where do you think it'l peak, anyway?
Unironically this. Even if the game doesn't release, every developer is going to bring their experience building it with them to new studios.
the tech they have created to solve some problems related to this game is in-fucking-credible.
i suggest people look into it. specifically their german terraforming department.
I'm pretty content, it's like being a centrist and seeing those on the far left and right flinging shit at each other in an attempt to prove each other wrong, yet they cannot because they're so fucking stupid all they can do is parrot misinformed opinions they hear in their echo chambers. You see, I bought the game (yes, GAME (maybe?)) for $40 a couple of years ago (circa 2012). A pretty safe investment as $40 is not a lot of money. For that $40 I get access to the alpha, beta, and the full game when, or if, it releases. That is $0.67 per month per year. So yeah, you could say I am pretty happy with my investment, as the cost is more or less negligible.
The worst that could happen? I lose $40... The best that could happen. I get the best game to have ever been made for more or less free.
>where do you think it'll peak
i am 100% bitcoin maximalist. not because of core but because of blockchain. the simple fact that governments have been trying to come up with a similar solution for years enforces its legitimacy and 100-200k per coin is an extremely low-ball estimate.
its not even complete yet, keep that in mind.
this is a fun read: twitter.com
Me too. I don't get why people in these threads always pretend everyone who isn't waiting for the game to fail must be a whale who dumped their life savings into it. Actually, I do, but it's sort of retarded.
>sell .avi's
>say the proceeds will fund dreams
also i don't think it is legal. literally fits the united states governments outline of a pyramid scam.
i'd guess it hasn't been investigated because it's video games and the victims are 30 year old man children
Because no one can stop them. Anyone that calls Roberts for his shady practices gets associated with D.S and nobody wants that.
What., The.. Fuck.. That just blew my mind
Mostly because they remember who chris roberts is, and themselves have a hard time getting why anyone would earnestly put their faith in a failed movie director who used games as a stepping stone to that.
same way loot boxes are legal
there is nothing illegal about ripping off retarded nerds
>buy bitcoin
the ride hasnt even begun yet homie
>still no console version for SQ42 announced
cmon, Robertsfag, you won't get my money otherwise.
Bro... What does the future 50 years from now have in store for us
...
I wish. I wonder if ***they'll*** let 70 year olds on the moon
