Mass effect 1 is not a very good game at all. The whole series is overrated as fuck but at least Andromeda tries to be better.

1 has a great story but very uninspired gameplay which makes most of the game annoying. I would compare it to the first Witcher but even though Witcher 1 combat isn't great it's DIFFERENT and good once you get the feel for it.

The exploration is bland to say the least. The inventory system is dumb the graphics are shit compared to other games that year.

On paper Mass Effect is cool but they ruined it with some poor creative decisions. Andromeda does something to salvage the trash heap it became.

1 had a good story, a lot better than the rest of the series, but the combat was average at best, the exploration of planets was shitty and annoying, and the inventory system and running around trying to equip your team was just a pain in the ass. Stories nice, but when you spend 80 percent of your time in combat, it being good is eesntial, and 2 and 3 got that right. Andromeda had good gameplay but literally everything else about it was shit, so just fuck that game.

It looks nice on paper, but when I actually played the game, once I landed on the outlaw planet, I put it down and never picked it up again, because up to that point, not only had everything outside of shooting people annoyed the shit out of me, I had absolutely no interest in the characters or the story.

This is correct, although RPG-wise they are not really that good to begin with.

I really enjoyed the combat in Witcher. it gets better when you level up chain combos

I didn't hate it but it definitely felt like an expansion pack. Had almost nothing to do with the Reaper or saving the galaxy.
