Casual shit for braindead children.
This. Didn’t helped that MCC was a buggy piece of shit on release either.
After H3 no one cared for the franchise anymore.
Kinda, Reach was the death of the series. The last decent game, it just didn't match the hype of Halo 3. Halo 4 was garbage
anyone gona host some halo ce?
halo2>halo>halo3&ODST>halo4>reach>halo5
Halo invented a thing, activision and EA ruined that thing and Halo copied the ruined thing.
Isn't it still shit?
Does anyone even play it still? Would make my poor paperweight I call an Xbox One useful.
Blood Gulch > Death Island > Coldsnap/Hugeass >Sidewinder > Danger Canyon > Timberland > Hang 'em High > Battle Creek > Ice Fields >>> others that nobody played
Last time I played was around April of this year. People play but they're a bunch of sweaty kids (>implying I'm not). The most populated playlists are TS, Halo 3, and BTB.
They're actually supposed to fix it. Honestly what they should do is just give it out for free for XBL gold members when they do.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 are the greatest multiplayer shooters of all time.
Nobody reply to that bait
>reach
>halo 1 tier grenades
Gotta say though the last mission Was one of the coolest moments in the series
Generation Z will never understand the glorious days on dial up connection.
>MCC BTB
>if 3 doesn't get picked half the players quit
Although to be fair CE games go on for like 20 goddamn minutes
Gen Z here, got this at a garage sale years ago.
Played up until the gamespy closure.
What was it about those days that made playing videogames so much fun? Is it literally just nostalgia? I would only have fond memories of it if it really was fun right? My mind wouldn't play tricks on me like that, w-would it?
Agree with you on bc2 but mw2 fucking sucked
>Playing LAN Halo demo in school
Was playing Hale Custom Edition a while back. The base game is still fun, but most servers have complete garbage setups and the community is just BRs(not the shooty kind)[well maybe they are actually the shooty kind]
Nostalgia yeah.
But then again video games used to just be video games and none of this bullshit we deal with now.
Why couldn't the teachers just back the heck off and let us play Halo, CS 1.6, and FEAR in peace. I wonder what kids play these days, probably minecraft I guess?
Halo Reach happened
Until I installed Halo Custom Edition several years back, I had no idea about Danger Canyon, where did this map come from? There was another on the Halo PC of some night time mission that kind of looked like Facing Worlds from UT, with two roads in the middle, and a teleporter off to the side of each base
...
>Halo 6 won’t return to its roots and rediscover what made the series great
>343 will just double down on lootboxes, weapon skins, and anime tier armor
>ADS and sprinting will never go away
>343 will STILL be confused as to why it failed
But since it's using Halo 5's mp as a base, the multiplayer will be good and with the campaign their returning to a Chief story for now on in the FPS games, dropping the squad gameplay and going back to Chief vs the universe, and putting the lore that has been infesting the games since Halo 4 in the Phoenix Logs so the campaign is already better than Halo 5, which isn't saying much.
It's not just nostalgia.
There are so many differences that we can point to. Not all apply to Halo.
>Cheats and unlockables replaced by DLC (your credit card # is the new cheat code)
>Loot boxes
>More focus testing by publishers
>Game developers experimenting less with genres
I think a big part of what's hit MP games though is that it's not just about playing because it's fun.
People play so they can see that bar get bigger. Whether it's ranked or just leveling up so you can unlock more weapons or skins that are needlessly held back, people are playing for that instead of the thrill of the game itself.
>No boarding action
disgusting
Here is the thing. It wouldn't matter if 343 fixed it many months later because you don't ship out shit that broken to begin with. Especially when your goddamn parent company is the filthy rich Microsoft. These days games live and die by hype. You destroy that hype and in this case the trust of the once great community and it is no surprise the series is dying.
I still play ce every once in a while
>nothing but spics and br's
>people with 400 ping regularly join, shit up the server, and get kicked only to rejoin a minute later
>servers play same map or rotate between gulch, danger canyon, and sidewinder
>everyone is a shitte or a fucking pro who can one shot you with the pistol from across the map, no in between
>retarded clans for a game only about 100 people play anymore
>zombie mode is shit and attempts to balance it made it even more shit
still a hell of a time occasionally tho
