How is the game?

How is the game?

good

Consolized shit.

Dole dippers.

best game ever made

Nah

Fuck you

not as good as the Witcher 2, but still a very good game just for the world building and immersion

I'dsay it's worth it

Good but overhyped.

Overrated high 12

Perfect

One of my favourite games, maybe my favourite RPG. The story and the characters is beyond most other games. And the DLC is amazing. Give it a shot.

Best game ever

Fact that no one can say anything of value about it should tell you everything you need to know
>Unmemorable

There are so many positive, and detailed, reviews online for this game that it's not even possible to read them all in a lifetime. One second of the game is more memorable than your entire fucking life.

It's okay if you want story, gameplay wise it's not that great.

If you want some fun gameplay with interesting dynamics to it, play MGSV: TPP, it doesn't get repetitive as fast but the story is fucking bonkers.

They're both excellent games, you should just play them both.

Honestly though chapter 2 of MGSV isn't the best, but it's still a great game overall.

Gameplay is good

I wouldn't really call them excellent. They fall flat in a lot of areas compared to their predecessors. TPP heavily falls under the open world meme just due to how incomplete it is, which kills gameplay because of all of the loading screens.

Okay TPP maybe not excellent, as I said in the second part of my post it's just great. Should have edited the first part but didn't notice.

I still believe TW3 is an excellent game though.

Just agree to disagree in that case I suppose.

I can't get into it for some reason

If you prefer gameplay over story you'd be bored out of your skull.

WHAT NOW YOU PIECE OF FILTH

Got their arses whipped like a novigrad whore

10/10
Ironic as it may be to say it, don't expect a perfect game, its a genre breaker and definer. The best game of its time, and was the best game up until Breath Of The Wild came out. Now we wait for the next game that will match them or surpass them, and signs indicate it will be Cyberpunk 2077. There's good games, great games, amazing games and there's the peak of gaming and Witcher 3 is among them.

Already spent 200 hours over it

Actually if you look at what other rpgs have done and what the witcher 3 did, it's a really sub-par game. The only thing it does better than most games is story. Everything else it does is worse than average besides graphics. Also having a bigger world than most games doesn't matter because it's completely empty with no depth.

.

...

>doesn't matter because it's completely empty with no depth.

>Go into a cafe, fight ghosts while high, as a right of passage for a nobleman
>Go into another cafe, fight risen soldiers that were shamed in battle and died paupers
>Go to another cave, werewolf husband that killed wife
>Go into another cave, fight mist monster that has been killing sheep

Witcher 3 has the best open world, and quests of any game, of any time. Skyrim's quests were RNG generated, and BoTW's quests were mostly shrines and puzzles with the same rewards. Factually, the only thing Witcher 3 falters in is the gameplay. Your opinions on this matter are shit.

>genre breaker and definer
sometimes I think CD Projekt Red has more paid shills than big american companies.

Withcer 3 is actually one of the worst rpgs ever.
>singe, defined character that won't make choices outside of what he likes and feels is right
>have to be a witcher, no class system, you can't choose a playstyle
>can only use a sword the entire game
>any choices you make have no effect on the world (for example skyrim has special random events and different factions taking over places due to your choices, no such thing in witcher.)
>enemies don't scale, you can't go anywhere you want in its "open" world
>no "dungeon" levels outside of story missions
>every combat encounter from beginning to end is the same
I could go on but I've already spent too much time on this comment

You just named almost every cave in the game and they are pointed out to you from a quest board. Have you even played bethesda rpgs? Every location has a story to it. Also there is barley any rng quest givers in skyrim compared to actual quests.

>singe, defined character that won't make choices outside of what he likes and feels is right

I really liked those meta moments when you pick Gerald's dialogue and he just says what he wants. Drives the point home that Gerald is his own character, and you're just guiding his general direction.

>have to be a witcher, no class system, you can't choose a playstyle
>can only use a sword the entire game
>no "dungeon" levels outside of story missions
>every combat encounter from beginning to end is the same

This is not a negative at all, I'm just going to ignore this for obvious reasons. If you want to troll, give me good bait. All of these are kinda the same thing, just worded differently, aren't they? I believe you can do better.

>any choices you make have no effect on the world

Choices affect; characters that can live or die, rewards given to you, alter events in other quests, change certain areas like villages to be destroyed or remain. Choices have effects, as much as they can affect while still remaining in the same game.

>any choices you make have no effect on the world
Dude I don't even like the game but your post is wrong and shitty

>You just named almost every cave in the game and they are pointed out to you from a quest board.

Wrong there buddy, quests in the Witcher 3 game don't necessarily need you to go to the notice board to activate them. The notice board guides you to where potential quests are most of the time. I also missed about 4 more caves, and I'm not even mentioned the DLC areas.

>Every location has a story to it. Also there is barley any rng quest givers in skyrim compared to actual quests.

Pick related to all of this bullshit nonsense.

Yes

I'm replaying it again for the 4th or 5th time now and its honestly just a interactive movie.

Very linear story. Combat is okay, but extremely easy. Side quests are decent but alot of them follow the same formula.

Your choices do have meaning behind them but no matter what you find the girl and save the world from the bad guys. No matter what.

It's worth a playthrough of course but replaying it over and over is kind of stupid. Don't know why i continue to do it.

Also mods for this game is kind of embarrassing considering what we were promised.

>Also there is barley any rng quest givers in skyrim compared to actual quests.

>Also mods for this game is kind of embarrassing considering what we were promised.

They never delivered the mod tools like they promised, modders can only work with what is already in the game. IF it had released with a full modding tool kit, it would have been close to the best game of all time. A real opportunity was missed, what a shame.

I got way to frusturated at the level where you walk back with blody baron and you have to kill the ghosts. FUCK, THAT, SHIT.

No

What's so good about Witcher 2?

Did you mean movie? Or are we meant to enjoy this combat and running around for 10-20min of nothing. If you movie, not that enjoyable, to long, repetitive, boring.

A more compact direct story with more urgency and multiple opportunities to bond with the side cast since they are integral to all parts of the journey. While being more linear in its story, Witcher 3 still surpasses it over all, cause there's a lot more to get interested about.

100% agree. Imagine TW3 base-game but with the mods quality of Skyrim.

Good op. One of my personal go to rpgs to play.

>enemies don't scale, you can't go anywhere you want in its "open" world
Gee I wonder what company could be behind this post

It got a proper release on PC, that's all I needed to know to buy the proper release for all 3 Witcher games.

Which build is best build?

It's one of the best games until Leia gets sucked out of the bridge into space and dies, while Luke is killed.

Story is the most important part of RPGs. That's the reason why TW3 is so great, it has an amazing story and it presents it fantastically.

>How is the game?

three hours of interesting content padded with 300 hours of bland filler

w h o r e s o n

The game bores me so fucking much

It's pretty good. You play as a chinese Samurai that has traveled to the future and gotten a surgery to look like a Witcher (a white race that resides in Europe) so he could infiltrate the witcher race and escape the chinese governments communist regime

>Sup Forums unironically has civil Life is Strange threads
>half of the gay nerds here shit on Witcher 3 any time there's a thread
Any time I come back I'm reminded why this is the worst board on Sup Forums.
I also hated that part.

Your mutha sucks dwarf cock

Really liked it. Would benefit from a shadow of mordor-like combat, though

The story and writing is good
World is beautiful
Gameplay is trash
Just depends what you like about games. It took me two years to beat it because I kept losing interest.

The gameplay is so fucking dull it's a chore to do anything

This

Pretty much correct. Repetitive and dull

I got frustrated fighting the djinn with Yennefer

Nfj

That's probably because you autists did question marks and shit. Just run trough main and some major side quests

My favorite game ever, to be honest

Nah

>metal gear solid 5: the pain of being an unfinished phantom of what it could have been
really makes me think

>you find the girl and save the world
>no matter what
wow look a faggot talking about a game he clearly never played you NEVER see that

S'okay.

i liked it

...

I didn't like it but most people liked it so you'll probably like it too.Give it a try instead of asking one of the worst boards on Sup Forums about it.

It's a AAA game from the 2010s made by people who actually gave a fuck. Maybe the only one.

Combat really fucking sucks, though.

IT'S good. What'S interesting, after playing it for like 100 hours I installed this patch everyone talks about that changes the gameplay and makes it more "video gamey". Thing is, the patch really works. While the game dose lose quite a bit of immersion at least when starting to play with the mod, it is fun.
So before the patch you kill all enemies with your sword. Very monotone but somehow immersive. You crossbow and bombs don't kill enemies.
With the patch installed, you do use different tricks to kill enemies which spices the gameplay up like for example, set enemies on fire and damage with a bomb (bombs do now big damage), speed up killing them with the sword, kill left over enemy that is far away with crossbow. And suddenly you got battle variety.
