Budget gamer award looks pretty worthless desu. Redemption in gaming would be good but I can hardly think of anything that redeemed itself instead of deluding expectations.
That's OK, you can also vote in categories for 2007 and 1997. If you didn't play games from either year, "Hate Machine Award" and "Hook, Line, & Stinker" can help. If you're still lost, you're on the wrong board.

I think that the awards really need to be trimmed down. One of my biggest problems with these shows is that they are way to long between all the awards and skits.

Overlap with other categories and should really be merged with them. Worst Publisher is always gonna go to EA, crimes against gaming is more specific and can cover bullshit like lootboxes, pay to win etc, the reasons someone would vote EA in the first place. Good deed goes hand in hand with best developer/publisher aswell.

I'm not really a fan of the more, "board culture" related awards. I think this should be a lighthearted game awards with some memes and board culture sprinkled on top, but not necessarily be about board culture.

So this was initially conceived, aside from fuck games """journalism""", because certain games tended to sweep the awards in the VGAs. Although in the first few iterations the Sup Forumsgas also fell to the same problem, it got a bit better over time. The same can be said for the VGAs though. Dorito Pope is getting better year-by-year at managing this shit. I don't think there was a game that did a sweep this year, despite there being a lot of great games that came out. Heck, there was no Schick hydrobot this time.
So my question is this, what is even the point anymore, aside from tradition? Not that tradition is bad or not enough.
