You're a fucking retard if you honestly believe that. 13 has no towns, no exploration, no NPCs, no real sidequests, no dungeons, main characters are less developed than side characters in XV are, the most linear section of XV looks like a fucking maze compared to the average 13 map, the monster design is trash in 13, there is no freedom, you can't even give direct commands to other party members in 13, not only that but the story content is fucking shit and there isn't a single good character. Say what you want about the pacing of XV but the story content is still high tier like the classic FFs, the monsters designs are god tier and it has classic dungeons and actual exploration and variety in sidequests, great characters and a fantastic villain, the combat is superior in every regard and you can even give direct commands to other party members, and that's before they added real time character switching which has 4 different systems intergrated into one now too. The music in 13 is bland ambience while the music in XV is memorable orchestrated tracks full of energy, moody and somber pieces and moving character themes.

It really speaks for how shitty XIII is when FFXV is better than it in it's embarrassing state.

XV has god tier music and the best battle themes with Hellfire, Stand your Ground, Up to the Challenge, Veiled in Black, Ravus Aeterna, Invidia, Omnis Lacrima, Apocolypsis Noctis, Clash of the Sword I and II, and better main themes and story themes than 13 too with Somnus, Dawn (Regis theme), Valse di Fantastica, Luna theme, Noctis theme, Ardyn theme, Shield of the King (Gladio theme), Home Sweet Home (Prompto theme), Theme of Ignis, Theme of Ravus, Song of the Stars, Disquiet, Wanderlust, Cartanica, Choosing Hope, Caem etc

No it isn't you fucking idiot. In 10 you can revisit prior areas and it has villages and NPCs, 13 has literally 10 coridoor chapters you cannot revisit, an empty grass plain in ch11, then two more coridoors until the end.

it doesn't matter, it's a stupid complaint. there's nothing special about hallways you can revisit vs hallways you can't. there's no reason to go back to besaid other than you like the music, same goes for any other area. I like 10 but it's much smaller than 13.

All holding does is basic attack, you are better off tapping to attack for manual finishers, plus you have manual weapon switching and directional inputs as well as aerial combat, dodge rolls, aerial dodges, cancels through blink and other action abilities

Autobattle in 13 does everything to automatically deal the most damage and auto heal against an enemy once defeated before or librad

FFXIII is one of the worst jrpgs I ever played. FFX-II and LR are not thaaaat bad, but the lore and plot drags them down.

Not really, a lot of content was cut on FFXIII to meet the deadline. They said they had to cut half of the game from XIII. Most of XIII-2 is cut content from the first game.

yeah, the open world area is fun, the bartandelous bosses are fun and challenging especially the first one. All of the esper battles are fun as well

I think the lack of a big ass in-game glossary just to know what anyone is talking about and the simplicity of the story help there. They also made some later parts better executed in patches, so I don't blame you if you're going off the earlier rendition (for real, Ch 12 goes from an awkward nothing to an actual sentimental moment).

A narrative that didn't explain itself much (or well) but hits its major beats is preferable to a mess of a story that fails at every turn and spends way, way too much time explaining things.

There's a lot of stuff about Final Fantasy that's terribly subjective, but X and 13 fail in some really basic areas of game design and storytelling. They are outright the worst out of the games that actually have a story and it's more than simple priorities.

Have you ever heard of this thing called a backlog? Maybe if you spent less time getting triggered over XV and trying to pin any game against it you'd know that
