Thanks for the info OP, haven't seen this yet.
Still doesn't say much about the gameplay, but it's something.

I'm wondering if the baby is a clone of you.
>Timefall wrecks your character.
>clonebaby takes over as the new you.

>>you can collect items and things in the underwater world, and return to your body when ready
>>you will return to the moment that you died, not a point before death like the start of a level

Isn't this literally how death worked in Prey? You die but you are sent to a different dimension, you do something and then go back to the precise moment of death but alive.

hack

so it seems that he's not very happy that people think he's being wasteful. apologize, Sup Forums.

Yeah have some shame Sup Forums

And Soul Reaver (mostly)

And Herc's Adventures somewhat

caramel was kojima in disguise

And now I'm even more interested in the game.
Fuck you Kojima and your sexy way to explain your games.

We still don't know what the fuck the game is about, is it a shooter? A walking simulator? A movie game like Beyond Two Shits?

It's a post apocalyptic tps roguelite featuring competitive post meta online and BADASS sp00ky rain, with an emphasis on tactical turnbased driving sim on the side

To put things into perspective, we haven't seen a single in engine image of Cyberpunk 2077 yet we have a better idea of what to expect of it.

From Kojima I was expecting another fun game like MGS with awesome characters, not this pretentious bullshit.

I wish Drakengard had good gameplay

>MGS
>Not pretentious
Maybe the Phantom Pain, but all the others have some element of pretentiousness to them, even Snake Eater

wtf m8

>MGS2
>Not pretentious
ok.

I said MGS, not MGS2, 3 or whatever. Also, MGS2 wasn't pretentious, it just had a lot of exposure at the end.

In this game seems like every fucking scene is filled with thousands of metaphors and ridiculous shit all over the place. Never in my life saw a videogame like that.

Nothing wrong with weird imagery, especially if it can translate to gameplay.

The fetuses are tied to a human in the dark post death world being able to keep them young and not aging back into reincarnation. Which is why the man helping the crushed guy has to kill himself so that his fetus remians in the death world but it ultimately becomes consumed by darkness mean that he is being born back into life which is a living hell world.

Have they said anything about the PC version?

The game still has like 2 or 3 years more of development, you probably won't gear about a PC version in all that time, that doesn't mean it's not coming, but they won't give you reasons to believe in it.

Kojima literally wants to launch the game the year before Akira takes place.
Can you take a guess of which year is that?

That's a rushed as fuck development considering every MGS took 3 years to make.

MOOODS!!!! MOOOOOOOOOOODDDSSSS!!!!

>the year before Akira takes place

Considering Akira takes place in 2018, he's gonna launch the game this month?

Sounds interesting but I wasn't much of a fan of not being able to die in Prey and will probably think the same about this game. Rain aging things sounds interesting too if it's an actual gameplay mechanic but I don't know how it would even be implemented outside of scripted sequences.

That would be a really nice surprise

Akira takes place in 2019 actually.

ripoff of bloodborne where death sends you back to base with doll waifu

But do you respawn right where you died in Bloodborne? What OP is saying is more like Prey. Get your head out of your ass, Fromdrones.

BUT IT IS INNOVATIVE AND NEW BECAUSE HACKJIMA IS DOING IT

user... you're wrong.
This is correct.
If the madman wants to deliver he has a full year to do it.

>Kojima finally has gameplay ideas, immediately shares them

This is literally what happened. Everything Kojima has planned, we know. The reason were so in the dark is because Kojima still barely has any clue wtf hes actually doing with the game.

And his ideas aren't new or groundbreaking.
Yet his fans are still sucking his dick like he is still not a hack.
Like another user said, no matter what he delivers they will claim heis their god anyways and not a hack, will blame sony or whoever for any faults.

>so here's a description of what gameplay might be like
>WOW Kojima has graced us with his gameplay IDEAS why haven't you bowed and said grace for our lord and savior Sup Forums?

Talk is cheap and ideas are air.

Literally doesn't matter

Cyberpunk is based off of a table rpg, of course we know more about it.

So this is the mechanic that Silent Hills was going to have uh?

>Kojima has made it clear that “P.T.” and “Silent Hills” are not related. “P.T.” is a one-shot that allowed him to try to scare gamers in new ways while utilizing the Fox Engine. The idea to make it playable — “P.T.” stands for “Playable Teaser” — was born out of a desire to deliver the first-ever interactive teaser in lieu of the normal route of releasing a few pictures or videos.

>Though he was deliberately vague, he suggested that “Silent Hills” will be enhanced by elements that were not in “P.T.”

>“By putting those in, the main game is going to be even more scary,” he said. “People may play it with the preconceptions they have about ‘Silent Hill.’ I am going to break that, because if I just use same old ‘Silent Hill’ motif, it won’t be scary.”

> is the game going to be first person or was that entirely unrelated from the demo?
>Hideo Kojima: Not sure yet. Development is cycling between either allowing players to choose to play the whole game in first person or third person, or keeping it fixed third person and having some areas be first person only. Either way we want to do something with first person. The game will not be out more than likely until 2016, lots of time left.

>Kojima also fielded a question regarding whether the game would be linear, or more open-world: "All I can say is Fox Engine is meant for open world. I cannot discuss more on the game design itself in detail yet."

One thing we can say for certain about DS despite knowing nothing specific is that Kojima's current muse is the open world meme so no matter what we know its going to be open world and we're not going to see a game along the likes of MGS4.

>death isn't the end in Death Stranding
>meaning Yuri Lowenthal is probably in the game past getting popped in the head while being dragged away

I've been saying this for a while now: DS is leftovers from MGSV and Silent Hills welded together.

I bet your ass that when he was working on the 2016 teaser he literally had no idea what the story was and just put some ideas together in a trailer, waiting for the fans to make up some elaborate theories that he could borrow ideas to make up the actual story and gameplay.

This all sounds cool, except for the first person part. That sucks. Probably to avoid showing how nude you are in that dimension.

Yes it does you filthy console peasant.

Also the framerate might tank with all of those water effects and trying to have maximal visuals on a PS4.

MGS2 Raiden tho.

how does Guillermo Del Toro's character fit into all of it

they couldn't possibly have wasted all that time making a model of him just to not use it

Most idea's aren't new or groundbreaking. Most of it lies in the execution rather than originality.

Probably a high-rank officer of BRIDGES

And Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Yes but fanboys said he would inovate and shit, now it is clear he won't everybody quickly forgets about that and they just pretend nobody said that now.
Typical of hypocrite boot lickers, always happens.

>Yes but fanboys said he would inovate and shit, now it is clear he won't everybody quickly forgets about that and they just pretend nobody said that now.

Innovation can come in the execution of an idea. Also despite most singular idea's not being new, the way they connect together can be new. Whenever you talk about an idea it can seem cliche but when you see it in game with the gameplay and story it can be completely different to experience.

I am somewhat worried about the gameplay though. I hope Kojima executes it well, and I do have faith since he is a competent person.

First thing I thought of.

shut the fuck up how does that sound?

and faglords like you think "innovation" means "completely new." we don't know enough about the game to say one way or the other, but it's fags on both sides jumping to conclusions like idiots that makes any discussion unbearable

...

>You’re transported back to the world after your death -- like in roguelikes -- where your actions maintain an aura of persistence.

Holy fuck you guys aren't baiting? It's obvious it will be only for PS4. AAA game produced by sony, with their own engine. How can you be so deluded?

So quick to damage control now?
First "muh kojima will innovate the medium and save video games" and now "muh kojima will make a good game and innovate anyways with old used ideas". Wonder how much lower you will go eventually.
>muh kojima delivered goty
>muh kojima delivered a great game
>muh kojima delivered a good game
>now that the dust has settled can we admit that kojima game kinda sucked?

>you have to run back to your body like in WoW

that isn't damage control, that's fence sitting faglord. we don't know enough about the game to really say anything about it at this point. trying to be definitive just shows that you're a faglord who can't help but jump to conclusions

disgusting

So this is basically a spiritual successor to Messiah.

...

This. Anyone who says different can go fuck themselves. FPS only matters for certain multiplayer games.

>Soul Reaver
He 100% got the death mechanic from Soul Reaver.

...

>This. Anyone who says different can go fuck themselves. FPS only matters for certain multiplayer games.
Nice try poor peasant.
Any single player game looks a lot better in 60 and more FPS compared to 30 or less shittery.

>how does that sound?

Sounds like insecurity.

sounds boring as fuck

>Holy fuck you guys aren't baiting? It's obvious it will be only for PS4. AAA game produced by sony, with their own engine. How can you be so deluded?
>in development for PS4

A shame.
Stale shitty console with poor hardware will only hold back Kojima and devs from making a modern game.

>t. "botw runs at an acceptable framerate"

MGS psp game did it already

60 FPS is an acceptable framerate.

>Lovecraftian-kaiju

So you can't actually lose? And when you run out of items or ammo you just die on purpose

what a stupid fucking idea for a game
this is going to suck ass and you know it

SEETHING

Reminder that Reedus' radar thing did not activate till he got the baby in a jar.
