This reminds me of the crash remakes where people were whining and bitching on twitter no matter what the devs did. They changed it a couple of times and people on Sup Forums still complain about the atmosphere being bad. I never played sotc but the remake looks better in every aspect, I hope they don't listen to faggots like you and ruin this shit just to never being able to please you anyways while also making the game look worse for everyone who doesn't give a shit.

You see, SotC visuals were made for the PS2. They are inherent to its style. Ueda game's cut the bullshit and leave only what's needed. Bumping up the resolution, adding post processing, particle effects, foliage and lighting only serve to go against the very design principles this man adhered to. It's completely destroying the original vision of the game in favor of graphical fidelity, completely fucking up the original art style in the process.
Crash remakes do look worse aesthetically though. There isn't even a performance compromise since they all run at 30 fps, and mechanically are technically worse since they fucked up the player box.
