Tomorrow I'm taking my 20 year old cat I've had since I was 7 to get put to sleep tomorrow at 8:30 AM. This weekend kidney failure hit him hard and fast. I'm pretty torn up about it just thinking about it.
I also very recently got a 2DS XL and hacked it.
What games and non-games will help ease the sadness? He's been a pretty great cat and has done and seen some cool things. I have another cat who has known my older cat since he was only a month old, so it's going to be hard on him too. Any tips on that as well?
I'm taking tomorrow and the next day off of work. I hope to be better by Thursday, but may take off the entire week.

Play Ghost Trick
Buy Monster Hunter World and design your cat companion after your cat.
Play Pokemon and name a Pokemon after your cat.
Watch cat porn.
Sup Forums isn't your blog, homo
I've lived through 3 generations of cats. You get over it. Get another cat.
play yoshis wooly world or hey pikmin, they may not be great games, but their charming and comfy feeling may comfort you
Sorry meant to type *scat porn.
I don't have game advice, but I do have IRL advice. Stay in the room with him. It will be a very depressing thing to watch, but at least his last moments will be with you. Animals look around for their owner once they leave the room. Don't do that to yours. I'm sorry about your cat, user.
This this this this. OP do what this guy says please
Ghost Trick and Monster Hunter.
At least you were there.
My cat died after I moved out, alone.
I couldn't even make the burial.
I guess she got stuck under the garage door which makes me sick, she deserved so much better than that. I wanted her out here in Co
Fuck.
I'm sorry op
This. Just chill with your cat dude. If they can still play or have something you know they enjoy, even if it’s just brushing, do it. They ever closely watch you play a particular game? Play it. Just enjoy your time together. Really sorry About your cat, m80.
RIP sweet cat.
Sorry to hear about your loss, OP.
I suggest something like an RPG that'll keep you engrossed. Fire Emblem is pretty fun for that, it can get in-depth.
I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. Mine was 20 too. Please for the love of god follow this guy's advice and be there for him. My parents had mine put down while I was away at college and never told me til I got back. I can't even begin to tell you how much it hurt me, and if not being there for him hurt me, it hurt him more. We were inseparable. When I was growing up he was my best friend, and I didn't get to be there for him. Don't make the mistake I did.
This. Being your other cat is they allow you. That way the cat knows the other cat stayed there. If not he will go looking for him all the time.
t. Happened to my friend dog
Good luck user.
This. A thousand times this. I moved away to study an my old cat passed away while i wasn't there and it ruined me for a long time. spend those last moments with him and it might help the whole thing a little bit.
And in regards to your other cat, just make sure he knows he's loved. cuddle him every chance you get, if he's meowing for no reason, just follow him around or sit on the floor and just be with him. It'll also help with the passing of your ol fella.
I'm really sorry user, the passing of a animal friend is so hard to deal with.
some one say cat porn?
godspeed, kitter
Take the week off, user.
Go with him tomorrow and say goodbye. It's good for him, and good for you in the long term.
Better to have an immediate release of sadness in the moment rather than trying to hold it in and "be strong".
Your other cat will have a lot of the same feelings you do, but with no way to clearly express them, so don't get mad if it starts doing things out of the norm (i.e. peeing somewhere or clawing at things in the house). Keep his toys/blanket so your other cat has something to smell his scent from as well.
For the 2ds: Kirby Triple Deluxe is really nice and not super overwhelming.
A Link Between Worlds is also good if you just wanna keep the mind occupied with the puzzles and stuff.
this honestly
I interned at a veterinary hospital last summer and someone left their 17 year old tom behind to get euthanized which I ended up comforting after the injection
there's nothing more sad than to think that a pet's final moments was spent with a stranger instead of its owner
Be in the room with your cat when it happens and don't cry or freak out till after he's gone. Don't let his last moments be him sensing you're in distress. As for easing your sadness, just remember you gave him a long, happy life and that both of your lives were better for knowing each other. Doesn't really help, but just try to keep it in mind.
