i think i just did one in gormott, theres a place you can climb down the cliff in the 'upper level -left' area and destroy the earth seal. i was confused since nothing happened after i did it and i dont know what quest its for. you need level 3 superstrength and earth mastery if i remember right.

When there's only a few Blades left it gets incredibly hard to get any of them. So it either rolls for all of them, or rarity gets higher as you go on.

I have 300+ luck on my characters when I put their luck-boosting accessories on and I still will get 1 rare blade for every like 6 rare cores. It's bullshit

legendary really should have been a guranteed rare unless you already had them all.
The ones fatal flaw in this game is that it likes to pretend it's an MMO while being a single player game. There is no reason to pad out the blades you get like this.

They'd be crazy not to have some kind of tie-in on the Nintendo Switch app for FrontierNav. It'd be perfect. Unrelated to calling up party members, which would also be very useful.

In any game with lots of designs people will have favorites and will want to use their favorites.

Making due with what you get is not nearly as satisfying as using your favorite robot/sexy brown spear lady/dragonmecha lady etc.

Eh, a big part of the post-game progression is the fact that the stronger monsters start to drop legendary cores fairly frequently. That wouldn't have been as interesting if it was so easy to get every rare blade.
The way I see it, you can get an initial group of rare blades fairly easily just using commons+rares, but collecting them all is essentially meant to be part of the postgame.
Part of the problem is that people will notice that they're getting less rares out of common/rare cores, but will still try using them anyways, which gets to be a huge drag. They should have at least had a %chance on each type of core, so they you could see it going down as you got more rares, and you'd know when to switch over to the legendary core economy. Also would have made boosters/ideas more transparent.

The more rare blades you get, the harder it gets to get more. After a certain point, common and even rare cores get to have such a negligible chance to get you a rare blade that it's not worth the time. I finished the game with 99 common cores and ~30 rare cores in my inventory because I clued into the fact that the game wanted me to start using legendary cores, which you start to get all the time in the post game.
But I keep hearing stories about people needing a few more blades and just opening like 50 rare cores in a row trying to get them, which is understandably a terrible experience. I think that Monolith intended for people to transition to better cores, but they didn't really communicate that as well as they could. It REALLY doesn't help that rare cores and rare blades have such similar nomenclature.

I have this feeling too and I finished the game yesterday. I could do side quests and the super bosses but I'm a grindy type of guy.

You could hope for some extra content in the DLC though.

Play more good games. Play some bad ones too, for perspective. Just keep playing games man. If you're afraid of burning out then do something low effort like TF2 or Smash or whatever. Or replay an old favorite. Take the energy that X2 gave you and push forward into something else.
