Maybe, I don't really know which emulator is the most stable. I played the N64 version personally, not on emulator, so I don't know if the N64 emulator would work as well.

PS2 has comfy hubworld and frame drops
DC runs at solid 60, no hub world
3ds has neither hub world nor solid 60 unless you're playing it on a hacked new 3ds with the clock+l2 hack, then it locks at 60

It has tight controls, innovate worlds and mechanics, good character design, not too much collectibles but just enough to be rewarding to find. There's literally nothing wrong with it.
